Semi alive..............
I slept all day. Got Pudd'n on the bus, came in and slept. Woke up at 11 am, had some soup and went back to bed until 2. Fixed dinner, picked up a bit and then went for a chiropractic adjustment. That wiped me out and I spent the rest of the evening on the couch. My nose is no longer stuffy, but my chest and throat still hurt.

I WANT MY MOMMY..................
I don't feel good. My nose is full of boogies and my throat is on fire. One a sick & twisted happy note, if I don't eat because I don't feel good, I'll lose a few pounds before the up coming holiday festivities. Yeah, I'm a sick fuck. I'm eyeballing my flasks and continplating wether or not I should pack one to spike up my hot tea at work. Naaaaaaa, that wouldn't look too good now would it? LOL Today we FINALLY have Pudd'ns I.E.P. to try and get more speech from the school(shit, maybe I SHOULD pack that flask just for this damn meeting!). Wish us luck. If they call and cancel on us again, they will be screwed.

IT'S ALL LILI'S FAULT............
Poor Lili has been sicker than a dog. I talked to her on the phone today and tonight I'm feeling crappy. My throat is starting to hurt and my nose is filling up. Bitch gave me her coodies via cell phone. I'm sitting here, sipping some whiskey and trying to ignore the signs. Maybe I'm just tired and I'll wake up allllll better tomorrow. Yeah that's it!

I always knew Sandy was a real popular girl. She's pretty, funny, smart as a whip and can cook up a storm. It appears she has a pretty big fan base too. How many people do YOU know that ends up on the front cover of a magazine? Go on over to Dax's place, he's got the scoop and first issue...........

Whoohoo! Got to sleep in until 5:30 am!
Well, it helped that Pudd'n had stayed the night at my mom's place. Steve has to get up at that time and I always wake up when he does. Gives me more time to read blogs before I have to go to work! My house is 50% decorated for the holidays. I just need to get the tree and put up the rest of the little nic nack yule crap up. My favorite decorations are of course the ones Pudd'n has made through the years at school. I look at those tiny hand prints in paint and I'm amazed he was ever that small.

I've got a glass of wine poured, Christmas music playing softly in the back ground and the decorations are going up. I swear my neighborhood turns in to a mini Las Vegas with everyone trying to out do each other with the lights. We love to walk at night and look at all the decorations. I'll have to post some pictures when things get into full swing.

ARE WE HAVING FUN YET????
Guess who got up at 3:30 am again? Come on! Guess! If you said Pudd'n, you are right. Sorry, no prizes involved. We had a nice time at Aunt Selma's new place yesterday for our family Thanksgiving. She had it in the club house. It was really a nice, spacious place. The pool is heated, so Pudd'n and his cousins had a great time playing in the water. They also had a pool table and other games in a separate room. Babs came with me, it was great to hang with her (pluse she brought the whiskey, so life was reeaaaaal good).

Below is my horoscope for today. And to add to the fun, Pudd'n got me up at 3:30 am. We are also suppose to go to Steve's "family thanksgiving" today (his family celebrates the holidays on a different day). My PMS is in full swing and I just want to go to sleep right now. Oh joy, Pudd'ns VCR just crapped out.
Just fucking terrific. "The Moon is in your sign today, placing you in the spotlight, but also making you more sensitive than usual. You might overreact to even the most innocent comment, so before you take an offhanded remark as an attack, stop and think. There may be a big difference between what was said and what you heard. Anyway, you need your own approval more than anyone else's. Make peace with yourself and no one will be able to take away your power."

THE DAY AFTER.............
My house is all clean and in order from yesterday's festivities. Not that I did any thing to help put it back in order mind you, poor Steve did it all. I was content (really drunk) to lay upon the couch and watch Titanic on the telly (and drink more). This year it went much smoother with picking up the marines on the base. They actually ran out of service members to adopt out for the day, a lot of people had wanted to sign up to bring them home. The young men were a little shier than last years boys. Hell, I had order one to call his momma! Aussie and Athena actually arrived early! All 18 of us went in and got to our table. The food was to die for as usual and there were lots of golden there this year. Goat puppy was in heaven! We then took the young men down to the beach so they could ogle the girls in the bikinis. Some chinese tourists wanted their picture taken with Goat puppy, so I happily oblidged. The day was wrapped up at my house with more food (and drink for me). Steve's step dad and his friend swapped war stories ('Nam) and everyone had a 2nd round of food. I packed up all the cookies I had baked for the boys to take back to base. Last year you couldn't bring food back, so I was happy to hear that rule changed this year. I hope all of you had a good day. I hope you gave thanks for all that you have in your life and I hope you gave thanks to your men & women of the armed services. With out their sacrifice, we wouldn't have freedom.

phone call early this am:
Me: guess where I'm at??!!!! Spaz: Uh jail? Me; no, better! I'm at Camp Pen*lton picking up MARINES for the day!!! Spaz: (hysterical laughter) Be gentle, don't scare them. me: on my way in, there was one jogging, he had these really short- shorts on and OMG! his THIGHS!!!! I almost crashed the car!!! Spaz: (more laughter) And that is how my morning started out. Early arrival to pick up some poor young men to subject to my dysfunctional family for the day. My next phone call to kill time was to Athena & Aussie. Oh, yeah, it was 7:50 am. Waaaaay too early for those two. Me: HEY WAKE UP!!! Athena: WTF?!? Me: Getting my Marines is much easier this year, get your asses down by 12pm now. Athena: Fuck you. Buh ha ha ha ha hahaaaaaaaaaaa Feel that love! It was a great afternoon. I don't think we emotionally scarred the young men too bad. I'm already looking forward to next year's service members.

Ugh, will some one go to work for me?
I've had a full damn day and I just want to sit on the couch and veg. I got both boys ridden today. I then came home and washed both dogs. Goat puppy really needed it, he gets so dirty down at the stables (go figure). I also used the steam vac on the seats in the van and steve did a cursory vaccuming of it. We'll do a better job tomorrow, we wanted to get to the store to pick up a few things before we had to go get the light of our lives. I'm eye balling the few more things that need to be done before we bring home the marines and subject them to our dysfunctional family on Thanksgiving. I'm excited that I was able to add Aussie & Athena in under the wire for our reservation. It fills up quick and all the proceeds go to R.U.F.F. We'll come back here after our Thanksgiving lunch to relax and snack some more. Tomorrow we tackel Speedy's pool and the bird cage to be cleaned. I think I'll bake some goodies too. I'm so geeked over getting the marines. We were lucky, they ran out of service members to adopt out for the day. A lot of people signed up to bring them home. Glad I did it early!

Yesterday's trip was wonderful. It took an hour and a half to get there, but well worth the trip. The mountains were spectacular! The color of the leaves, the smell in in the air and the tranquility was just amazing. We tried cider at every location, I brought a half gallon home from our first stop. I wish I had gotten a bag of apples from the 4th little stand. One store had a bear warning in the window, I got a kick out of that. I got a jar of bbq sauce from that place. My favorite purchase was the carmel apple. It was home made carmel and it was so thick, when you bit it, you didn't get any apple. It was all carmel! I was in heaven, the best $3.00 I ever spent.
Pudd'n was less than thrilled about being dragged around. But then that is autism for you. At least he didn't tantrum like some kids do. We stopped at one place and it was built in the 1800's and still up and running. I was taking some photos when steve said "that lady is checking you out". I scoffed at him. But when I did turn to look, sure enough, she was staring heavily in our direction. As we walked passed her, what we didn't see was the young man on the other side of her. He was obviously severly autistic like our son. He even had the same hand flapping jestures that Pudd'n does. I'm sure she recognized Pudd'n as being autistic, parents & care givers usually do. I'm sure I was giving her a glimpst in to her past with my young son and I could see my son in hers when Pudd'n becomes a teenager. ( Her son could of given a rat's ass about being there too). It was an enjoyable day and we got lots of goodies to bring home to eat. I'd like to go back again, it was a mini vacation of sorts. Today's adventure will take us to the movie theatre to go see the new Harry Potter flick and then I'll get my ass on a horse.

A full day for sure...............
I'm feeling pretty good, feeling accomplished. I got up and got my lazy ass on the tread mill. My mom had gotten me two new "witchy" books and that kept me going while at a nice fast brisk walk on the tread mill. I then went out side to gather some of my marigolds for harvest, I use them in my soaps & spells and soon they will be dead for the winter. Before I knew it, I was full blown yard work. One thing lead to another. I only got the plants on one side of the house. I still need to get the very back yard and the front yard flowers. Weeds were pulled and mulch put down. I also got the front lawn fertilized too. We then got cleaned up and went out for hair cuts. Well Steve and Pudd'n got hair cuts. They look so handsome now. We got some more errands done and now we are home relaxing. I sat on my patio and painted my nails and enjoyed a glass of wine and all the fruits of my early morning labor. Now my candles are lit and a hockey game is on the tube. Life is good. Tomorrow we go to Oak Glen to go some cider mills. I haven't been to a cider mill since I was 16. I can't wait! Nothing beats fresh cider. Hope all of you are having a good weekend like I am.

Hell must be freezing over or something................
Last night I started my quest to find a nice party frock for the up coming holiday festivities. This usually ensues many trips to many stores trying to find something in my size that is decent and with out paying an arm & leg. Well, first trip to Lame Giant in Tustin we hit the jack pot! It's a huge store, so it had a hell of a better selection than the one in my mall. I picked out several options and headed to the dreaded dressing room. I settled on a pretty purple & black dress, Steve even had the jewlery picked out and waiting for me! Sweet huh? It's a bit more than what I wanted to pay, but hell, it will save what is left of my sanity in the long run eh? I also grabbed a few bras. I hate paying for those too, but it was buy one, get on half off. Now all I need is a bottle of whiskey and a pedicure and all will be right in my Twilight Zone........

Pudd'n slept THROUGH the night!!!! The last thing I remember last night was my arm in a pretzle position so it could touch his back and we both passed out until 5 am. Heaven, I'm in heaven! Now if he'll only do that EVERY night, yours truly just may not lose her mind after all!!

It just sucks to be me right now. And I can't even blame it on PMS, that will start next week I'm sure. Lack of sleep REALLY fucks with me.
I got to Pudd'ns school grossly early to try and catch his new bus driver. School starts at 9 am and by 9:15, I was starting to drive out in tears. No bus in sight. I felt so damn fustrated! Before I left the street, 3 busses came flying around the corner and the driver Patty was one of them. I did a quick U turn and booked it back to school. Patty seems like a real nice lady, got my information and Pudd'n will be picked up at 8:45 am tomorrow. Now I'm crying because he's going to take the bus!!! Livey is right, it DOES suck when your kids start to grow up. Now mind you, I've seen kids a hell of a lot younger than Pudd'n ride the bus. So I know at 9 years old, he just may enjoy it, feel like a big boy. Me, I'm a blubbering wreak.

I'm just not feeling it today.
Pudd'n pulled the 2:30 am wake up call. I know it's the damn full moon. I used to like them until I had my son. The moon definitly fucks with my kid's sleep pattern. I tried doing some yoga this morning and I couldn't even get past the warm up. It didn't help that Pudd'n kept coming in the living room with goat puppy in tow like the small tornado that they are. I stopped my yoga and here I sit on my ever expanding ass. And of course, since I stopped, Pudd'n has stopped coming in the living room. I haven't had any diet coke in almost 2 weeks now. This is good for me. I just wish I could show something for it. I've had a few diet drinks with splenda in it, but according to Babs, it's just as bad as asperteme. Oh well. Fuck, I can't even keep a train of thought. I think I'll just go take a shower.

Work started out real slow, but then thankfully picked up to where I made decent money. Slappy #2 actually used his acorn sized balls to ask me to fill all the salt & pepper shakers. I looked at him and said "all of them? Isn't the person who works that station suppose to fill them?"
He said "oh yes, you are right" and slunk off. Damn straight I'm right.

Pudd'n is suppose to be riding the bus in the mornings now. The only hold up is the transportation company has their head up their asses. First I was told that it would take a TOTAL of 10 days. When I call upon the 10th day and question why hasn't a special ed driver called me with a time, I'm told it 1o days AFTER getting paper work. Well, you guessed it, I called yesterday and got handed ANOTHER line of bullshit. Now it is SUPPOSE to be 10-15 days after getting paper work. Needless to say, I lit in to the dumb ass on the other phone since she's the one who's been feeding me the bullshit. I'm able to get the bus driver's name and rt. number, but no time. SUPPOSEABLEY they faxed the bus driver my phone numbers yesterday, amazingly, no one has called me all day. I just missed the driver too while dropping off Pudd'n this am. I'm hoping the driver does pm pick ups and I'll be able to corner her this afternoon. I'm not crazy about him riding in the short bus, I've always driven him, but I need to get to work earlier than what I am doing now. And another plus, I get to work earlier, leave earlier and get my ass on a horse. I'll be picking Pudd'n up at the end of the day still.
Sunday when I went in to work, Slappy #2 actually had the gall to have the cook tell me to fill all the salt & pepper shakers in the joint. Now where I schlep tables at IS a small place. But you know what? I do most of the side work. Slappy #2 can get the THREE other waiters to do it. I've been waiting tables 24 years now. You fill the salt & pepper on your OWN station. So that's what I did, only MY tables. Fuck him! I do all the set up work for the night, plus I fill all the damn oil & vinegars and sugar caddies. Juan was not happy to tell me to do the salt & pepper, he knew my answer and that I would not do it. We'll see if slappy says anything tonight.

I also enjoy crafting things and helping people and these soaps are right up my alley. Today we went to the leaky cauldron so I could get my herbs and Steve pointed out a pre made basket of spell stuff. That too is right up my alley. Make up a spell basket and sell it. It's easy to do. YOUR SUDGESTIONS PLEASE...............
Ok, I've come up with some names for my "zodiac soap". What is my zodiac soap you ask? It is a line of soaps I am making for your astrological sign. The herbs & oils in them bring out the positive aspect of your sign. Well I'm stumped on a name for Cancer. I need something that is sassy or sudgestive and it has to begin with the letter C. This is what I have so far to give you an idea. Amerous Aries Capitivating Capricorn Lustful Libra Seducitive Scorpio See where I'm going with this? What does the winner get? A bar of soap of course! Come on barflies help out a bartender/witch here! xoxoxo

A BLESSED VETRAN'S DAY TO YOU ALL...........
I'll be lighting my candles and saying my prayers for the men & women of our armed forces. Go on over to Sandy's place. She is more eloquent with stuff like this (oh hell, with everything!) than I am. http://peapatch.blogspot.com/ And check out my favorite Old & Evil person James (although if you ask me, he's not so evil. Who can be evil with that adorable kitten he has?) http://oldandevil.blogspot.com/

KIPEDEEEEE DO DAH............
My friend Gail owns two horses she does not ride. Kip belonged to her dear departed husband Gil. Gil died this month last year. I miss him and his gentle ways with his fruit cake horse. I rode Kip today, Kip just had lazer surgery on his "bad" eye. We contribute most of Kip's fruit cake behavior on this bad eye (we hope that is the problem). This would be the second surgery on this eye and my friend Becky, who is Kip's trainer informed Gail that this horse would NOT becoming home until ALL meds were done. When Gail came to pick up Kip, she found 5 people trying to hold Kip down to tranq. him to GIVE him the meds he needed. Now mind you, if Kip gets too freaked out, he PASSES out. Kip is a fruit cake from the word go. He freaks at his own shadow. Why do I ride him? Because he loves to work. I can sit back and relax (almost) and this horse puts the energizer bunny to shame. I rode him today after he already had a good work out and you'd swear he had not been out all day (or all week). This horse was rare'n to go. Sure there were a few hairy moments when I had to remind him to pay attendsion to me and not what was going on outside the arena. There are countless times I've wondered "why the fuck am I riding this horse?" And then Kip pulls through, showing me he's not so fucked in the head. He'll do anything for a nutter butter cookie and he loves when Gail plays the answering machine with Gil's voice on it. I can't wait to get that horse between my thighs tomorrow...............

A SLICE OF HEAVEN..............
For most people, they find the beach relaxing. Me, I find going down to the stables more relaxing. The smell of the horses, hay and manure.......THAT is relaxing! I love to groom the horses. I like to find the "happy spot" on their backs, a spot they can't reach and just love to have scratched. I'm going to have to bring my camera down and capture the look of rapture of their faces. Goat puppy loves to run around and eat all the horse shit in sight. I feel much more relaxed and at peace. I'm going again tomorrow. Pudd'n will soon start taking the bus to school in the mornings. I really need to get to my job earlier than I am. If I can get in by 8 am, I'll be out by 11:30 am and my ass on a horse by 12 noon. I'm going to miss driving Pudd'n, I've always done it. But it's time for him to be a big boy, of course it will be the "short bus", so I won't have to worry about bullies.

WOLF'S EYE
I had a chuckle at myself not too long ago. I use a lot of herbs and crystals in my soaps & spell works, so when I hear an unusal name. I think nothing of it. Names like horse chestnut, deers tounge, tiger eye. And then there was the time that some one sudgested that I use Wolf's eye for a particular spell I was working on. It was wrapped in cotton, sealed in a plastic bag. Sure, I was game. I just thought it was a very fragile stone or herb. Boy was I wrong! I cast my circle and began working the spell, I got to the part where I needed the wolf's eye. I opened the bag, unwrapped the cotton and to my horror, it was not an actual eye, but an eye socket. Complete with a little hair left around it. I did my best not to scream. I'm not a squimish person by any means, but this shit just freaked me out. I couldn't stop washing my hands after that ritual. Ugh!

Wow, I feel some what human today! Pudd'n at least went back to sleep when he'd wake up. He'd check to make sure I was there and then go back down. At 5 am I let him come in to our bed because Steve was already at work. Poor guy had to get up at 11:30 pm to get to work by 12 am. Ugh! We were slammed at work last night, that was a nice change from Sunday. Slappy #2 started out in a real crappy mood for most of the evening. When the first rush was over, he went some where and when he came back, he was in a better mood. Probably got a blow job from his girlfriend.
Today we go and battle the school for more speech therapy for Pudd'n. Oh fun Oh joy. I thought I would make up a few more soaps yesterday and every time I went to make one, I found I was missing at leat one ingriedient out of each recipe. Deers tounge? Nope, got to get it. Cardamon oil? Nope. Patchouly, yep, but low. Fuck! I had everything I needed to make prosperity soap, but I'm going to have to make a trip to the Leaky Cauldron to get the rest of my oils & herbs.

ONE STEP FORWARD, THREE STEPS BACK.........
Ugh, last night was pretty rough with Pudd'n. He wouldn't go to sleep and when he did it was fitful. He kept waking up and finally he just STAYED up around 2 am. Steve and I are dragging butt. Dee Dee (my terrier) is making a strange coughing/choking sound, so off the vet we will go today. Then hits just keep on coming! Oh well, Mr. Hottie is subbing today, so at least I'll have him to drool over (providing I don't fall asleep at my desk!!).

Well Steve starts going "on call", so I'd better get my ass in gear and get on making those soaps. I've already come up with names for some, "Seductive Scorpio", Alluring Aquarius, stuff like that. I'm making up a line of zodiac soaps, differenty types of bath salts, dream pillows to help remember dreams, pillows to help fall asleep and specialty soaps too. There is a class I can take in Jan. that will help me to know how to get my business of the ground and stuff like that. Babs said she'd help me with the internet part of it. It would be so nice to give up my night job. Keep your fingers crossed!

Had a great day today. We went out for some lunch and then went to the Irv. Regional park. They have lakes to take boats in, pony rides, train, zoo and regular horse back riding. Plus you can even trailer in your own horses to go riding. They have many places to have nice pic nics and many baseball diamonds too. It's a great place. So we grabbed the goat and went for a walk around. The weather was perfect. Peacocks were all over and Goat puppy wanted to chase the ground squirrels.
I can't wait to go again.

Are we having fun yet?
Couldn't take the pain any more in my wrists from the fall so I headed on down to the clinic for an xray. Nothing is broken or fractured, got some happy pills to help ease the pain. Last night was much better with Pudd'n in his bed. Took him a few hours to fall asleep and he stayed in his bed. I didn't have to keep my hand on his arm or his chest as much too. So I just may get a decent nights sleep some time in this life!!

SQUEALING WITH DELIGHT!
Well the whiskey is kicking in and I'm not feeling the pain in my back, hips or palms of my hands. I just got a post card from "one of my boys" that just got home from the sand box. Well, he's been home for a few months now, but he's finally returning to So. Calif. He wants to buy me a beer and help me drink a few too! I'm so excited to meet him and his wife. I will also be making a trek up to LAX to meet with another service memeber I've met through Soldier's Angels. She has a 2 hour lay over, so I think I'll jet on up there and meet her! I've also gotten my application to subject two marines to my dysfunctional family on Thanksgiving. Of course the slut in me is thinking "MMMMMM yeah baby! Men in uniform!!!", but soon as I take a look at that sweet young face, mommy mode kicks in. We get the boys that just come out of basic training and are not allowed to fly home yet. Yeah, I'm pretty geeked out right now.

SMOOTH MOVE, EXLAX.........................
While putting away Halloween decorations and getting out Thanksgiving's. I managed to fall off the small ladder. Fucking teriffic! Goat puppy was all freaked out as he "checked me over" while I lay on the garage floor. So now here I sit with a glass of whiskey on the rocks. Looks like I won't be going to ritual tonight. Instead I'll go with Pudd'n & Steve to Pudd'ns reiki session. I'm sure the lovely Rita will give me a quick zap.

FFUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK..............................
In our never ending quest to get Pudd'n out of sleeping in our bed, our latest venture is that we bought a twin bed and put it next to our king sized one. It was our hopes that since he is so insistant on sleeping with us, he'd be happy in a bed next to us. Sure we can put him to sleep in his own room, but he wakes up between 11-12 and comes in to ours. If we put him to sleep in our bed, he sleeps through the night. We are cramped, but at least we get some sleep. Now mind you, I know it's only the first night and some times it takes things to settle down. I can handle that, I CAN'T handle the no sleeping part. Pudd'n woke up and kept trying to get back in to the middle of our bed. I kept saying no and just kept my hand on him to give him comfort. If I removed my hand, he'd get up and try it all over again and the tears would ensue. This went on from 10:30 pm to 2:10 am. My neck is stiff and threatening to give out on me, I did not get any sleep and godDAMN! am I fucking tired!~ I've been doing my best to stay away from the caffiene and sista, I don't see that happening today. Just hook up an i.v. of it please. Steve slept through it all............bastard!

Can I just sleep all day?
No? Fuck! Halloween was fun, but we barely had any kids this year and there was barely any houses passing out candy too! I even asked one of the kids that came by. The best costume was when this 30's something guy came walking up in women's clothes trick or treating. We got a laugh out of that. Dru, Babs and Bab's friend came over for a night of merriment. We got our usual family photo of Pudd'n ALL pissed off that he has to wear a costume and then Steve passed out candy. This was the first year I didn't have to drag Pudd'n to the houses. He gets it now, and he doesn't even care about the candy either. He is not a big candy eater. He likes his starburst tropical flavor candy and twizzler red licorce. It HAS to be twizzler, don't think you can be slick and trick him either. Any way, I got a bake it your self pizza, Babs brough the Irish Whiskey and there the four of us sat trying to bribe people out of their babies. Dru was ready to attack one good looking dad. She definitly would of shown him LOTS of tricks!!!! Ugh, trying to get stuff cleaned up from last night and trying to catch up on blogs. Hope you all had a happy and safe Halloween. |
