OMFG!
Can I hurt any more??? They have a new masseuse at my chiropractor's office. She read my file and said "I see Mike has been working with some deep tissue massage on you".
Yeah, back in August!
What ever work he started on in breaking up the scar tissue in my neck and lower back, this bitch finished it.
HOLY. SHIT. am I ever sore. I could barely think to do the memememe that LL gave me and I could only talk to Spaz on line for less then 30 minutes I hurt so bad.
Yes, I drank a lot of water (and beer too). This morning I skipped working out and just stood under a very hot shower. We got this kick ass new shower head (thank you mom!) and the water pressure is heaven! Several different massage settings of pure bliss.
I looked like a lobster when I got out. Now it is time for me to go hobble and make some breakfast and lunch for the light of my life.

1. Seeing a priest in public skeeves me out. I have no frick'n clue as to why either. If I see one,I literally want to hiss at him and give him the evil eye.

3. My navel was pierced when I was in my 20's.

4. I was 14 when I started drinking whiskey.

5. I bought my 2nd horse (whom I named Whiskey, go figure) for $1.00. He was on his way to becoming a can of dog food when I got him. I only had him for 7 short, wonderful years before cancer took him.
I miss that horse.

6. I had my last paranormal expierience a few months after my dog Jack died. I awoke to a heavy sensation on my chest. As I started to fully wake up I heard Jack barking right in my face.

Today is THE day! WHOOOT!

Today at 1 pm pacific time I get my massage. I can hardly wait, I need one in the worst way. I just hope all the garlicky and spicy dishes I ate yesterday don't come back to haunt me today.
The massage room at my chiropractor's office is a converted walk in closet, I shit you not. It is tiny and has no ventilation. I hope to all that is holy that I don't involuntary let one rip, that poor girl will be killed on the spot. I wish I had thought of the consequences yesterday while eating all that good food.
Bummer.........

Uh oh!

We dropped Pudd'n off at Grandma's while we went shopping. Our first stop was a Rite Aid and as we drove up, we saw something I've only heard about, but never seen.
An elderly gentleman had hit the gas instead of the break. His car jumped the curb, took out the handi cap parking sign and slammed in to the building. Luckily he hit the brick side. Even more lucky, he did not hit any one. The handi cap sign was all up under his right left tire.
When I got my purchase and left, there were two cop cars and the firemen were not far behind. They had TWO fire trucks, one of them the really long ones where some one has to steer from the rear.
I felt so bad for the old man.
Tonight at work Chris was boxing up a large partie's food to go. He did not pay attention to how he was stacking things on the tray and everything went crashing to the floor.
The restaurant was packed tonight and when that stuff hit the floor, it fell silent.
Then every one started clapping. Chris took a big bow.
Yeah, we were bagging on his ass the rest of the night.
Tweaker dyed her hair this horrible shade of blonde. It is not the right color for her skin tone and now she really looks "hard & used".
Ah shit, I still have to do my home work.

Damn, that hurts!

Well if the weather quacks and my hip are correct, we are in for a big ass storm. It is all sunny and pretty now, but we are supposed to get dumped on by this afternoon/evening. I couldn't figure out why my hip was giving me the fits until I heard the weather report. Oh well, we'll see.
I picked up a shift tonight. I hope I make some decent money and the rains won't scare any one away.

Holy cow can this dog let loose with his hair! He's due for a bath too, but with all the rains we have been having, that might not be a good idea. He likes to lay in the puddles. Even when it is dry around here, he manages to find something smelly to sit in.

It looks like I'll be having two soliders to make care packages for. My friend MSgt. M is going back to the ~~litter box~~ sand box this Monday and will be back in Sept. I'm straining my brain cell to remember his favorite goodies to send him.

Old Time Hockey, eh Coach?

Last night Steve was playing around on UTube and he put in my favorite hockey player's name to see what would come up. I still love me some Shanny even though he is no longer with the Redwings ~~the rat bastard~~.
There was a plethora of videos of Shanny throwing down the gloves and serving some whop ass.
You just don't see that much any more, the fighting.
I miss the days of Darren McCarty serving his own brand of justice for some one who thought they could fuck with one of his teammates. I then remembered hearing about a fight between goalies that I'd love to see.
It was Osgood Vs. Roy and damn, it was a good one .
It starts out with the usual hatered, leading to a huge fight that used to be prevelant between the Wings & the Av's.
Finally at the end, the goalies get in to it. Roy is a big man, he may of gotten in a few more punches, but see how long it takes the refs to get Ozzy off of Roy once Ozzy gets Roy down.
I'll have to go find the video where Roy throws a hissy fit because he does not stop a shoot off goal.

Short bus update

The short bus won't be too exspensive to fix. I guess five years of vomit, soda, sand and dog hair must of accumulated and jammed something up. I should have it back by the time I get out of school.
We are supposed to get rain again and I feel more comfortable driving in the short bus then I do the corolla.
Yesterday we got a much needed chiropractic adjustments and I booked several massages in advance. I haven't had a massage since Aug 07.
I am in desperete need of one.
Oh sure, Steve will rub my back like the good husband he is. But what I really need is that deep muscle shit. Ya know that "oh feel this lovely scar tissue! Lets loosen it up!"
I get one of those next week.
I'm counting the minutes............

I guess life was going too smoothly. I sure enjoyed it while I could.
The automatic sliding door on the short bus door won't open. Shit, I can't even open it manually.

Spring cleaning.

I can't begin to tell you how "geeked" I am over the changes I've made in my bedroom. I kept pulling the "Simplify your Life" card out of my happy, happy, joy, joy deck and I seriously took it to heart. We are cleaning out closets, taking down pictures, re arranging pictures, put stuff away, reorganize and turn old linen in to rags (that should of been done a long time ago).
It seems I'm not the only one with spring cleaning on thier minds. My favorite Hawt Asian Chick is cracking the whip at her place and getting full use out her child labor.
Well, as much as she can. Some times it seems like getting kids to do anything is like hearding cats (especially mine).
Now I'm off to run a few earrands before getting the light of my life from my mom's house.

CH CH CH CHaaaanges!

A local furniture store went out of business and we were able to pick up a king sized head board, foot board and frame for a steal. Pudd'n had broken our head board in one of his tantrums. It was an old 2nd hand head board, so we weren't too heart broken.
The new bed looks fabulous!
We re arranged a few things and the bed room looks great. I was really happy to take the tv out, we never watched tv in our bedroom any way.
I had also gotten several gift certificates for the Yule holiday, so I got a few things that I had been putting off. New knobs for the linen closet, throw rug for the kitchen.......
Little stuff like that that add up for a big difference in my house.
Work was a riot tonight. Made good money, had a lot of laughs and now I'm home at a decent hour.
Life is good.

Finding a lost love.

We all know the shitty month I had in Dec. I did a lot of emotional eating and drinking. The results of this self medicating is really shown up. My ass has its own zip code again. I had let my gym membership go because they closed up and moved to a different location that was not conducive.
One night while flipping through channels, Steve found an exersize channel and they had BELLY DANCING on!
Now I normally don't dance (unless I'm in the arms of another for a nice waltz, two step or fox trot). I look like a dam frog in a blender when I attempt to dance by myself.
Except for belly dancing. I love to belly dance! Steve recorded a few of their programs for me and I put one on this morning. I like the girls they use too. They are not some anorexic things, these girls have curves.
Dangerous curves! Whoooot!
They look healthy and beautiful. I now have something to look forward to every morning.

I went to my L.I.F.T. class tonight (don't ask me what the acronym stands for, I don't remember) and I just about shit my pants when I read the syllabus.
OHMYGAWD OHMYGAWD OHMYGAWD!!!!
I have not been in school since 1984 when I graduated.

Pudd'n had a great time at grandma's house and we spent nearly two hours with the doctor discussing our options. We made our choice and will have to go back in 6 weeks to do blood again to make sure things are ok. Since we had success with the seditive and the people at the blood draw, it will not be so bad.
And we will not be talking about things in front of Pudd'n.
That kid is wicked smart and I don't need any new behavior problems because he's acting out.

I got nothing...........

Work sucked hot sweaty balls last night. We were so damn slow!
Today we see the neurologist and talk about what approach we'll take and go over the blood work. Pudd'n will stay at grandma's house. I'll have Steve go pick him up and take him there by himself. Pudd'n knows that when mom & dad come pick him up in the middle of the day, it is not going to be good.
I just want to go back to bed. I'm so tired.

Work was slow tonight so you know what that means.
Time to terrorize your co workers.
We've got this new girl, I'm gonna call her "tweaker" because she is. Or was. This girl looks like she was rode hard and put away wet. She's an ok person, but you get the impression that she is one beat away from grabbing a high powered rifle and climbing a water tower.
Any way, she's got this habit when she gets pissed off for what ever reason she's always mumbling negative shit to her self. I guess she didn't care for one of our managers telling her to take her food out. Kathy was working expo and told tweaker to get her food. Kathy is already on tweaker's shit list for another reason, so tweaker mumbles "shut up cow". Another server heard this and told Kathy.
So tonight every time I passed Kathy I'd moo at her.
Then when tweaker left I had the other servers moo at Kathy.
I thought I was going to piss my pants I was laughing so hard.
At one point Kathy said :Maeve you SUCK!
I replied with : Yeah, and I swallow too............
I thought Christian was going to drop his tray of food when he heard that.

Today was Dru's bridal shower. This was the first bridal shower I've looked forward to in a long time. Well except the fact that I had to drive B.F.E. to get there.
NOTHING was going to deter me from this. I am so happy for her and M. is a great man.
Ok, to clue you in. I HATE driving by myself long distance to places I've never been. I like a co pilot to read the map, and today I had to drive more than an hour away from my normal surroundings.
Ok, this is ME driving. As Chickie will tell you, I don't adhear to speed limits and I make Mario Andretti look like an ameture.
Had I not been looking at the map, I'd had been there in 45 min.
I missed the fucking turn and added time to my travels.
I am SO sorry for the poor lass that had to listen to my diatribe about being stuck between two semis and no place to exit.
(PLEASE tell her I'm sorry again Dru!!!)
Ok, I make it and I'm trying to decompress because I hate being late and even more I hate being lost.
I have a sip of punch and dayuuuuuuum that's GOOD.
I have another glass and figure right quick, if I want to drive home, I'd better watch my consuption of that punch.
So I'm eating and drinking my way in to being calm when Dru's mum says:

From there I'm ready to crawl underneath my chair.
I see Aussie and Athena ready to pee thier pants with laughter over this tid bit.
I shoot them the "GotDAMN it, if I didn't have to watch my P's & Q's I'd beat yo asses" look.
I take a deep breath and I realize this is Dru's mum.
I've partied with her before, she's produced a wonderful child.
I don't thing I could of shocked Dru's mum on my best day.
Breathe.
She had nothing but kind words to me and that means a lot.
This was the nicest time I've ever had at a bridal shower. Dru got some nice gifts, the food was good and the kids were darling. Dru is marrying in to a reallly nice family. I loved the little things they gave to give "good luck" to the bride and groom.
Ok, I'm really toast right about now because my man knows how I feel about driving long distance with no copilot.
He bought me copious amounts of Irish whiskey.
And now it is time for me to show me how grateful I am soon as Pudd'n goes to bed.

Just hand over the baby and no one will get hurt.

I had kind of a crappy station tonight. So much for rising on the food chain. At the end of my shift I had the pleasure of playing with a seven month old baby girl. This kid had the biggest blue eyes I'd ever seen. She was just a bitty thing, light as a feather. I don't think Pudd'n was ever "light", shit, he was 10 lbs at birth.
So I stood by the table and rocked the baby in my arms while her parents ate dessert. My manager Barbara saw me and said "Maeve, you are such a mom!".
I just love me some babies.

Moving up the food chain at work.

On New Year's day there was a little skirmish at work. Nothing big, nothing unusual of the raunchy banter that flys between workers.
Unfortunately, one of us did not have their "filters" in their mouth working while on the floor.
John was bugging Kim (in a joking way). Well Kim told John "fuck you" very quietly.
Unfortunately John was tweaking and said very loudly while taking a customer's order "No, FUCK YOU Kim".
Yeah, that went over like a lead balloon.
Apparently a customer (rumor has it that an employee might of called) called corporate and we had human resources down this past week.
Unfortunately both Kim & John lost their jobs.
This really chaps my hide.
Both Kim & John are excellent servers, they both come in on time, show up for their shifts and do their side work.
And then you get people like Ms. Thang that shows up late or does not show up at all. Shit, she barely did her side work (it always gave me great pleasure to bust her ass about it on the nights I closed).
Supposedly this was a decision that came from the higher ups and not our management. This is fucking stupid, they should of gotten a weeks suspension at the most.

Getting some "me" time.

Tonight Steve is going to take Pudd'n to reiki by himself and I get to stay home and relax. They screwed up the schedual at work and I ended up working five days in a row. I'm used to just working three with breaks in between. While the extra money has been nice, I am freak'n tired.
Life is finally back to normal and I can breath a sigh of relief. So tonight I'll lite all my candles, do my nails and see if a few friends are on line. If they are not, I've got several good books I can curl up with.
Now I have to get my happy ass in gear and get out the door.

Strange ass dreams.

Last night I was plagued again by weird, strange, make no sense what so ever dreams.
The one that sticks out in my mind is I was showing a photo I took to Steve. The photo was of a sliding glass closet door or was it a dresser mirror? Any way, it was a large piece of mirror, lets go with that.
In the photo there were many skulls in the glass. They were faint, ghostly images. We were living in a house that was haunted and I kept telling Steve that we had to move out now because Pudd'n would get scared.
The panic continued when the dream jumped me in to a laundry room with a window in the door of it. I had changed out this woman's laundry and I started to freak out because I could see her and I didn't want her to know that I did that.
The night before last I dreamed of ghostly images, a farm and police. Every one was dressed in the era of the 40's or 50's. Smack dab in the middle of that strange dream "I love New York" (yes, I am a loser that watched both of those shows!) was swimming in an above ground pool.
Any arm chair Freud's out there wanna take a stab at what is going through my twisted Psyche?

Chef's salty balls.............

Today I had two campus supervisors seek me out to tell me how much they enjoyed the rum balls I made and passed out for the Yule season. They want the reciepe too!
Steve had a company lunch at the most divine BBQ place that is right next door to where I schlep tables at night. He was kind enough to bring me home some ribs, I topped it off with one of our chocolate cakes from my restaurant and I am now having a glass of red wine.
Red wine is good for the heart ya know.
Forget the fact I've probably just shoved over 1,000 calories in my face at 9:45 pm.
But hey! I got a salad to eat for lunch tomorrow!
Tonight James came up and aske me if I had table #2, I said "yes" and he asked if I would spit in the food of the man sitting in postition 4.
Uh? WHY?
Turns out James just got out of jail not too long ago and the man sitting in postition 4 at table #2 was a guard at said jail that James just got out of!
James kept walking past the table, but the guard never noticed because he was out to dinner with his parents and his wife. If he did notice, he did not let on.
And let me tell you about this guys wife!
She was one of those tiny Asian women, she looked to be all of 12 years old. The guard was a strapping 6'4 at least. She was wearing a diamond ring big enough to choke a horse. I wondered where she got the strength to lift her hand the darn thing was so big. I think she maybe had 3 bites of her whole meal.
So far life is pretty much back to normal. Pudd'n seemed happy to go back to school, he is now snuggled up next to grandma I'm sure. Poor Steve is passed out and here I sit trying to unwind from work.

Back to the grind

For the first time that I can ever remember, I am happy vacation is over with. This has NOT been a good one. Shit, I could scrap the whole month of Dec it sucked so bad.
At work they finally fired Ms. Thang. She didn't show up again (shocker!).
K. a fellow co worker was "bummed" because they did that.
Um, hello???
The bitch routinely did not show up and left us hanging in the wind. I don't care how fucking nice you thought she was (or how bad you secretly wanted in her panties) you won't see me crying any tears.
Shit, if anything I'm happy. Now I'm higher on the food chain and will get better stations.

Stupid weather quacks..........

So much for the big rains they've been hyperventilating over. Sure we got rain, but not like they were talking about. From what I hear, up north got pounded pretty good, but here? Nada.
Meh, what ever.
I picked up a shift tonight and made some serious $$$. Gawd how I love my new job.
The people I work with are a riot and the managers really cool.
One guy Dan sings Italian opera and I love to hear him sing "happy birthday" to his parties he gets.
He loves to hear "nasty" stuff that pops out of my mouth (i.e. I'd love to make him my personal play ground, what? haven't you ever heard fuck me to tears before? Why YES Craig, I had cream poured over me last night).
Dan gets all close in my space, grabs my hand and tells me "You are such a dirty mom. Gawd that is a turn on".

Getting my drink on............

Shocking I know eh?
What is really shocking is this song.
Steve says when he hears it, it makes him think of me. Why is that shocking? Because Steve and I share a dark, twisted sense of humor. Lets put it this way. When we got married we chose the song "Sea of Love" because it was a movie that came out right around the time we started dating. It has Al Pacino & John Goodman in it and it turns out the cable man is the killer. Steve was a lead cable installer when I met him.

Case in point #2
When Kerry was getting married she came over with the song she was going to walk down the isle to. She wanted me to hear it.
Mr. Smart ass pipes up with "If Maeve and I ever renew our vows we'd have to play Puddle of Mudd's song She fucking hates me."
Suavecito is a very pretty song and I'd never expect my husband to chose such a pretty song that makes him think of me.

And the rain is where????????

The weather quacks are still squawking about a big ass rain storm we are supposed to get. It should of been here last night but has not made it yet. It is going to hit by the time I need to drive to work I bet you.

At least we finally got the new garage door and we can park the short bus in the garage. We are supposed to get the heaviest rains we've ever has since '05. The fire scorched hill sides are fucked. We are going to be having lots of mud slides.
I'm trying to figure out what errands I can run with out Pudd'n in tow before I go to pick him up and what ones I even want to try to bring him to.
And that barflies is the exciting life I will be leading today.

Is this not the most handsome young man???

This was taken via camera phone yesterday on the way home from the zoo. We got caught in traffic; so I was able to snap this off. He had snaked my sun glasses and put them on. He has not wanted to wear sun glasses for a long time now. I hope he'll start up again. He's finally waking up from the seditive, only because I've been jumping on the bed and shaking him. Soon we are off to buy him new shoes compliments of grandma. This kid is growing like a weed.

While he was passed out we managed to get the garage re organized. We've been pretty lucky at getting shit done on our "to do" list. This Sat we are going to take Pudd'n to my mom's and work on his room. We got a new throw rug to put down and we are going to do a few other things that we have been putting off done.

The Xmas tree is at the curb and all the decorations are all put away. It is time to start the new year and for the first time in a few weeks Steve and I feel hopeful about it.

And now it is time for a stiff drink..........

Oh hell, who am I kidding? I'm always ready for a stiff drink!
The blood draw went smoothly. Pudd'n was drugged six ways to Sunday. He walked like a little drunken sailor. Steve was able to lay across Pudd'ns lap, I went from behind to hold his shoulders down and the director held Pudd'ns arm still. The lady that drew the blood moved quicker than a blink of the eye. We were in & out with in 30 minutes.
Pudd'n came home and crashed, I let him sleep for an hour and now I'm trying to wake him up. The kid is like his father when it comes to this stuff. Me? That shit is like M & M s.

PSA to some fucktards at the SD Zoo today........

We are expecting heavy rains the next few days so I thought I'd take Pudd'n & GP to the Zoo today.
Half way there Pudd'n shits his pants.
Lovely.
Ok kid, hope you enjoy sitting in it because I am NOT pulling over to clean you up. We get to the zoo and I clean Pudd'n up and tell him that since he pooped his pants he will not be getting any tv/videos when we get home today.
Yes, he does understand.
I make him carry the bag full of butt wipes and the piddle pad (cloth & plastic liners we've started to put where ever he sits in the van) to the trash. After we dispose of the waste, he starts to suck up to mommy.
He's all loving and wanting to hold my hand (what almost 12 year old male wants to hold their mother's hand???) or he's trying to put an arm around my waist as we walk.
Uh huh, riiiiiiiiiiiight. Puddd'n has not wanted to hold my hand since he was 5 years old.
Any way we have to stand in the member's line because we still have not received his current pass. He is waiting patiently in line( another clue he is still sucking up).
Ok, here is where my PSA comes in.
We all know I've been just a wee bit stressed lately.
I am also in full PMS mode. People should be glad I don't carry a gun or I'd be doling out my own brand of chlorine to your gene pool.

People at the members counter, they get what they need and in stead of moving off to the side so some one else can come up and conduct business; they STAND in front of the counter. They read what coupons they have, load up purses and THEN load up a baby.

Fucktard #2:
We go to our usual bathroom because Goddess forbid we deviate from our routine. Some yuppy mother is in the handicap stall with her perfect child.
This is a SMALL restroom, it is filling up quickly with small children that are delighting in the fact that there is a 100 lb love sponge in there. I make the remark several times LOUDLY "please don't pet the dog, he's working" and "go ahead, I'm WAITING for the handi cap stall".
And yes, fucktard #2 does speak English because she's telling her kid "wash hands good honey".
Yeah bitch, there is a row of fucking sinks out here! Get your preppy ass out of there before me and my kid piss our pants.
Fucktard #3 that really was lucky I didn't have a gun:
We are waiting in another damn line for food. Pudd'n has to eat right after visiting the bathroom when we get to the zoo (gotta love autism and its rituals)
There is two women with children already at a window to order. They open another window and announce "next in line!"
What does one of the fucking bitches at the first window do??!!!???
She jumps over to the next window!
That is when I said: "Are you joking me lady???!!!!"
She glances over her shoulder and sees the look of "I'm going to beat your ass senless look" on my face or a.k.a. "the look of death".
She quickly turns around and trys to pretend she does not see me.
After another few minutes they open another window and I place our order.
Dumb ass bitch had to pass by our table and I delighted in "mad dogging" her as she walked by with her friend.

When I walk past you with my serivce dog, do not jump out of the way or on top of things screaming. My dog could care less about you or your damn phobias.

Tomorrow is THE day.

Tomorrow is the day we go in for blood work on Pudd'n.
We are not looking forward to it to say the least. We have a seditive for him, but how well it will work I do not know. What I do know is there is going to be a lot of vomit, pissing, shitting and wrenched backs to do this.
Yes, I should try to visualize a nicer scenerio, but giving Pudd'ns track record...........

Retail therapy works wonders

My mom had given us a very generous gift certificate to Lowe's. So today we dropped Pudd'n off at Grandmaland and did some shopping for things that we needed, but always put off because we didn't have the extra $$$$. And with me working the extra hours at my new job; it was real nice to pay cash for the things we needed at other stores.
I had just enough time to change my clothes and go to work after our shopping spree. As usual some flake did not show up which means more tables and money for moi.
Now I'm relaxing with some fine food and some awesome whiskey compliments of Aussie & Athena.

Same shit, different year.

Hope every one had a nice New Years Eve. I made decent money at work and I was out of there by 8:30. Our usual flake did not show up and it boggels my mind why the hell they keep her. Yes, she is a good waitress and easy on the eyes; but damn! The rest of us are busting our asses because she does not want to come in. I wonder what lame excuse she will come up with THIS time.
I went in for my usual 6 mth screening of my thyroid and they told me my blood pressure was up.
*snerk*
No wonder with the behavior crap Pudd'n is pulling. I wish I could say I was all happy and excited for what the new year will bring us. But I can't.
Right now the only thing I have to look forward to is Dru's wedding in March. Other then that, my whole feeling is "meh, what ever".
I'm going to shut up now and quit my whining.
