Moving up the food chain at work.
On New Year's day there was a little skirmish at work. Nothing big, nothing unusual of the raunchy banter that flys between workers.Unfortunately, one of us did not have their "filters" in their mouth working while on the floor. John was bugging Kim (in a joking way). Well Kim told John "fuck you" very quietly.Unfortunately John was tweaking and said very loudly while taking a customer's order "No, FUCK YOU Kim".Yeah, that went over like a lead balloon.Apparently a customer (rumor has it that an employee might of called) called corporate and we had human resources down this past week. Unfortunately both Kim & John lost their jobs.This really chaps my hide.Both Kim & John are excellent servers, they both come in on time, show up for their shifts and do their side work. And then you get people like Ms. Thang that shows up late or does not show up at all. Shit, she barely did her side work (it always gave me great pleasure to bust her ass about it on the nights I closed). Supposedly this was a decision that came from the higher ups and not our management. This is fucking stupid, they should of gotten a weeks suspension at the most.
