Friday, December 28, 2007 Evil, mean mommy...........Pudd'n got a few board games for Yule. I want him to learn turn taking and do somthing other then watch tv. We are not following the rules of the game, I just want him to sit and do something else.You think I was beating the kid the way he acted. Holy shit was he pissed that he had to sit and learn something new. You should hear the tantrum in his bedroom right now. *snickers* If he had the fine motor skills or hell even the verbal skills I'm sure I'd be hearing a "fuck you" right about now.

My husband is so smart!Last night was pure heaven.Pudd'n didn't throw any melt downs at my mom's place; so we got a quiet evening at home. I lit all my candles, poured me several LARGE glasses of whiskey, curled up on the couch with the hub and GP and watched t.v. My mom had gotten me this apple that was covered in about 20lbs of chocolate, caramel and nuts. There is only 1/4 of it left. I mowed through that sucker in no time flat. It was nice just to sit and not have to worry is some one pissing them selves or the bed. Yesterday Steve and I were both on the edge of a nervous break down. Maybe it was a good thing we spent the day apart. When I was at the Wild Animal Park I started to cry in the gift shop. No rhyme or reason. The water works just started. Did the same thing in the line getting Pudd'n some food. Maybe it was just seeing all the families having a nice normal time with their kids. I also came a bit unhinged and used some very colorful language at my step father last night. See, Steve came up with a great idea of putting the dvd player high up on a shelf so Pudd'n can't reach it. Now Pudd'n has to use sign and oral language to get videos that we will trade out. He can pick what he wants, he just has to ask for it and he's not breaking his dvds. The first time Pudd'n had to do this at my mom's was Xmas eve, that's when she had all the behavior problems and we had to come get him. Kenny (my step dad) said maybe we should put the dvd back in its old place and he'd really keep an eye on Pudd'n so he wouldn't break anything. OH.HELL.NO! I got my point across to him not to touch shit or else. So Steve and I are talking about things and he points out that Pudd'n started this soiling shit shortly after putting the dvd out of reach. Pudd'n is pissed that he can't do it by himself any more so now he's probably soiling him self out of retaliation. So now if he pees himself he gets no tv what so ever and I'll make him vacuum the house (he hates having to do that) and other things he'd rather not do. We'll see if that cures the problem.

I love, love, LOVE me some grizzly bears!!!!  Next to horses and dogs, bears are my most favorite animals. I go nuts for grizzly and polar bears. These are the 10mth old grizzly brothers the S.D. Zoo now has on display. I love, love, LOVE me some bears!!!

The mark of the Beast...........Pudd'n and I went down to the Wild Animal park today while Steve worked on the garage. We are finally getting a much needed new garage door and he needed to move stuff about.Of course GP went with us and I started to have flash backs from the wholesome movie The Omen. Growing up I got to watch The Omen and all its sequeals. In one of them Damien goes to the zoo and all the animals freak out when he walks by. Well that is what it is like having GP with us. Lucky for me (and those poor animals) Pudd'n does not stop to look at anything, he just walks by at a quick pace. Today we managed to piss off the condors. Damn those birds have an impressive wing span! They really are a magnificent. Pudd'n is still having behavior problems. This morning he was chewing on a lego and when I told him to get it out of his mouth, he threw it at me and it squarly hit me in the chest. We had a little "come to Jesus" moment after that. Mommy don't put up with that shit. For the rest of today if he put anything in his mouth he should not be chewing on and I told him to "get it out of your mouth now" he did it quickly. Now if he would stop soiling himself life would be great.

Tuesday, December 25, 2007 Not the best Christmas I've ever had.Lunch with my mom & Step dad went well yesterday. Lots of good food and Pudd'n went home with them. I got changed and went in to work, it was pretty busy.I'm going to blame the full moon on Pudd'ns crappy ass behavior for the past two days. He was combative and aggressive at my mom's house. Throwing some good tantrums too. Why? Steve put a shelf up really high and put the dvd player upon it. Now when Pudd'n wants to watch a movie, he has to use language (oral and sign) to say he wants. This pissed him off because at my mom's house she does not inforce any rules, so he gets away with shit. Well they were not budging on this one because those dvds cost too damn much. We ended up picking him up after my shift and bringing him home with us. So much for hot, nasty sex. *heavy sigh* Pudd'n had a hard time falling asleep even with 2 melotonin. We finally just let him stay up in his room watching tv until he felt ready. I thought it would be a good day to go to the zoo. They have 2 1omth old grizzly cubs on display now and I just lurve me some bears! For reasons only known to Pudd'n, he shit his pants on the drive down to the zoo. He's been there a million times, he knows the route, he sees the special back pack we take just for these outings and he still freaks out (we are guessing) and shits his pants. We pulled off the freeway and got him cleaned up and in fresh clothes. We had a ok time at the zoo. The bears were darling!!! And some monkeys really freaked out over GP. We did have a bit of behaviour issues with Pudd'n while in the zoo, but he finally got the bug out of his ass and moved on. When we left, he wanted to buy some some sweedish fish. We had said no, he never eats the damn things and they charge $3.00 a bag! He had already gotten a huge sucker, starburst, a puzzle and a shirt. So he tantrumed all the way to the car and when we were in the drive through at the golden arches he pees his pants. I just don't know why he's pulling this shit. When does it get better? DOES it get better? Fuck, I think I'll go mix me a nice stiff drink.

Works for me..........Holiday Eating Tips1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls. 2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. Like fine single-malt scotch, it's rare. In fact, it's even rarer than single-malt scotch. You can't find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into an eggnog-oholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas! 3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat. 4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car with an automatic transmission. 5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello???? 6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year's. You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do. This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog. 7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again. 8. Same for pies. Apple. Pumpkin. Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert? Labor Day? 9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, you have to have some standards. 10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention. Re-read tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner.

Sunday, December 23, 2007 Pamper meYesterday I finally broke down and got a pedicure and the ol' unibrow waxed. I then went and got a much needed hair cut. I haven't had a pedicure since Sept. for my birthday. It felt sooooo good to sit in that massaging chair and have some one rub my feet and make them all pretty.I then came home and got a wee bit drunk. Ok, a lot drunk. I'm glad I'm on Christmas break now, I really need the time off from one job. Working six days a week sucks.

No biggie, I got All Hallows Eve and Turkey day off; so I can't complain.There were a LOT of happy teachers today at mine and Pudd'ns school with those rum balls/blobs. Several looked longingly at their bags wishing they could eat a few during school hours. My SIL sent the most AWESOME Redwings jersey for Pudd'n as a Christmas gift. It is a bit big, but that is ok. We'll get more use out of it. I'm finally getting excited about the holiday. Ya'll ready for it?

Tuesday, December 18, 2007 Houston, we have a problem.I am making rum balls for the first time tonight. I thought they'd make a nice gift along with some cookies for some of my co workers.I put in a weeeee bit too much rum and now I have "rum blobs". Steve is off to the store to get me more nilla wafers to add to see if I can get them to roll in to balls and not be so strong in flavor. I can't stop giggling over the thought of giving some teachers a nice buzz during class.

Lucky meSteve had to go to work at 1 am today; so he calls to wake me up. As I stumble out of bed trying to make my way to the kitchen to answer my wake up call a smell assaults my nostrils.Apparently the chicken nuggets my son so carelessly fed GP yesterday did not agree with the delicate balance of GP's stomach. I had puke & diarrhea all over my living room. I've got carpet fresh down, but it is still too cold to open the doors & windows. Fuck me running.

Monday, December 17, 2007 HO HO HO HO..............Some body better call Pendleton and warn them that my happy ass will be there tomorrow. I am bringing presents to two families from the Varisty/ Jr. Varisty Cheer & Dance. Linda had an emergency and had to fly up north (she is the cheer advisor and was in charge of this). Her Mom had to have surgery. The short bus will be filled to the brim with gifts from fourty four girls.I gets to get me some eye candy tomorrow! Whoot!

Zombie timeUh oh, maybe I'd better not use that as the title of this post. It may make Eric run screaming like a little girl. I wonder if he'll go see the new Will Smith movie, it looks like there may be some zombies in that one.Why am I on a zombie kick? Pudd'n went to bed at 1:30 am this morning. Oh yeah, so did I. We are both dragging ass today. At least I MIGHT be able to catch a nap today. I have several errands to run, but I think I can put them off until tomorrow. Steve's "family Christmas" was this past Sat. I sent down gifts to all of Pudd'ns cousins with Aunt Selma. Guess how many she came back with for Pudd'n?? Go on guess...... She came back with ONE gift for my child. And it is not like his cousins can't afford it either. They all have huge toys, houses and take many vacations. Steve's brother the Fucking Moron never gives a gift, but they are struggling. They are living on one income. My feelings are hurt that they think so little of my son. It really shouldn't suprise me and it really shouldn't bother me. But it does.

It was a hit with all the people that work cows. Now I have to drag my carcass grocery shopping and then I get the thrill of closing the restaurant. I just want to go to bed.

Funeral will be held next week. It turns out Ron was sponsering an autistic child, so the family is asking for donations for an autism organisation in leu of flowers. Tuesday, December 11, 2007 Holiday CheerThis year Pudd'n has a male teacher for the first time EVER. I like to pick up gifts for his teachers and aids around Christmas time. You have to admit girls are easier to buy for this. Some pretty smell soaps, candles and shit like that go over well.What the hell do you get male teachers? I asked one of his aids (when Mr. N was out of the class room) if he liked wine. She said yes he did and he really likes margaritas too. Maybe if they put vodka in the water cooler in the teacher's lounge, the teachers would not be so stressed. I've been conducting a little experiment over the years of waiting tables. When I wear red lipstick I make more money then if I wear a deep plum color. No pink lipstick here, I look like shit in pink. I wonder why that is? Last night I had an older couple at one of my tables. The entree the gentleman was eating had capers in it. I had told him that what he was eating was my favorite dish, but I get it with out capers. He then asked me: Man: do you know what capers are? Me: (looking puzzled) little green salty things?? Man:Yes, but do you know what they ARE? Me: Um, no. Man: they are frog testicles! Me: (laughing) well that explains the salty taste!

Monday, December 10, 2007 Too much of a good thing.I have GOT to stop bringing food home from the restaurant. I'm eating waaay too late at night and don't tell me to make healthy choices.Fuck that shit. I eat rabbit food all the damn time. This is the only place I've ever worked where they don't charge full price of desserts to the employees. I can even come in on my night off and get food to go and only be charged 50% of the original bill. And don't get me started on the little loaves of bread they give out. I'm so screwed.

Steve's company Christmas party was a blast. I got hammered with my favorite Irishman Paul and his wife. Dinner was good, but not satisfying. We ended up going getting me a burger at a drive through on the way home. Next weekend is the barn party. I can't wait for that!

Friday, December 07, 2007 I don't want this to "happen in 3's"I got a text message from Steve yesterday. A long time friend of his had a heart attack and was in a coma. I guess when they ran tests they also found a tumor at the base of Ron's neck. It does not look like he is going to make it.I got a phone call last night from Betty, the nurse to my regular customer of 5 years. I waited on Betty and Amy the entire time I worked for Slappy #1 and Slappy #2. Amy always insisted on sitting in my station. She grew up in the era of the golden Hollywood. Coctail hour started at 5 pm and lasted until 6pm. She came from old money and knew several stars and she used to love to ballroom dance. Amy is in hospic now and they don't expect her to last the weekend. When I get out of school, I'm going to go down to say my good byes. I just talked to her last week. I feel sad, but am happy her suffering is over. Years of smoking unfiltered ciggarettes robbed her lungs of breathing properly. She could barely take a breath this past year.

Wednesday, December 05, 2007 I'm ready to stick a fork in my eye...........Pudd'n had not busted up the dvd that Steve bought him on Sunday so I thought "ok, I can buy him a few dvds".Well that was a fucking stupid thought. I bought him two dvds he picked out at the great toy chain. They were busted up with in 15 minutes of getting home. Hear that noise?? That is me banging my head against the wall. Fuck me running, GOTDAMN IT!!!! No wonder I drink.

It is winter.........right???It is my blog and I can whine if I want to.I want some cold weather damn it! Yeah, yeah.....I know. I sent Pudd'n to school in shorts today it was that warm. We are supposed to get a storm tomorrow night/Fri morning though. So at least I'll get some cold stuff. My garden is thriving from our last rain and the 9 bags of mulch we put down. Pudd'n is doing better too. So much so I just may let him go buy some dvds. I think it finally sunk in that if you break them, you have nothing to watch. (crosses fingers) Remember the king of the dooshbags I mentioned in my previous post? Guess who is visiting my next door neighbors right now? Yep, the king of the dooshbags. All he needs to do is look over my fence and he can see me. Just fucking great.

Tuesday, December 04, 2007 Are we having fun yet part duexPudd'n was happy to get out of school early.He was NOT happy to see his father in the car. When mommy & daddy pick him up during the day that means only one thing. Doctors. We got the short bus ready with towels, we figured he'd be doing some behavior vomiting. He refused to eat the lunch we bought on the go and when we pulled up to the neurologist he would not get out at first. Do you know what is nice about a business plaza that caters to children with autism? No one looks at you when your son: A) gets so nervous he craps his pants and proceeds to strip in the parking lot. B) once you get said child cleaned and redressed (yes, we carry extra clothes & wipes at ALL times) he then proceeds to run around and through the short bus to escape you. C) behavior vomits in lobby and then in exam room Steve and I will discuss what options we want to take tomorrow. Right now we just want to decompress from today's events. Luckily when we went to the pediatrician, Pudd'n walked in easy as you please and had no behavior problems. Now on to the fun I had with the dooshbags today. *insert evil laughter* Mrs. D was in class, but left upon my arrival for an emergency meeting and left ME in charge to teach the class. Can we all say WTF?!?! It was easy enough, read the story answer the questions. Ok, I can handle this. I had noticed the king of the dooshbags had finally got booted from the class, so the kids were not as bad. A couple of times a few tried to throw in the word "fuck" and I would just give them the look. Then two thought they'd be class ass hats and I quickly booted their asses out of the room and in to detention. That set the tone that I was not putting up with shit. Irwin kept trying to push my buttons and as soon as I said "if you don't shut your mouth right now you are NEXT". I did not hear a peep out of that fucker for the rest of the class. Two more weeks. Dooshbag TuesdayWell it is Tuesday and that means I get to go work in the dooshbag class. Only two more weeks. I keep telling myself that. I'm a little more irritated today about being there because there is a good chance the teacher is out sick. She was yesterday.I ran in to the in house sub in the copy room and she told me Mrs. D was out sick. Poor Jen, she thought I worked in P2 on Mondays too. Sunday, December 02, 2007 Make the voices in my head stop..........Work was thankfully busy tonight. It kept me from obsessing and crying over Pudd'n ( I made up for it on the ride home, I cried all the make up off my face). He was kind of cranky all day and when we tried to get some family pictures on the beach..........ugh! Oh well, we didn't expect perfection with these pics and we told the photog. just to snap away. The proceeds from the photo shoot go to grad night at the high school that I work at. Of course we had GP in the pics. He's a big part of the family.Steve did a bunch of research tonight about seizures and autism. Tomorrow cannot come fast enough for me to make Dr. appointments.

Are we having fun yet?Pudd'n had a real hard time falling asleep last night. It was after midnight before he did;only to wake us up shortly there after with what we thought was a seizure.By the time Steve got through to 911 it was over. Pudd'n has never had a seizure before and we were freaked out to say the least. We threw some clothes on him and took him to emergency since it is 2 min from our house. Steve had to drag him inside. Pudd'n wants NOTHING to do with doctors of any kind. He was tantruming pretty good. It took Steve and an orderly to get Pudd'n in a examination room where he tantrumed further. Pudd'n finally calmed down by the time the doctor got there. The doctor feels that Pudd'n just had a bad case of the "chills" since he was getting over the cold. Pudd'n snapped out of the "seizure" immediately where as if he had a true one it would of taken him 10 minutes or more to come around. I am still making an appointment with our own doctor this week just to make sure. We got home around 3 am and all crawled in to bed. I sure as hell hope today is better then it was yesterday. Yesterday sucked hot sweaty balls.

Saturday, December 01, 2007 Laughter is the best medicine.......Or it least makes a good band aid.Steve taped Nick Dipaulo (sp?) for me. I love me some Nick Dipaulo, he's funny. We are now setteling down for the wholesome movie Goodfellas. It is like watching one of Steve's home movies. He is a goomba from Brooklyn ya know.

Can I have some cheese to go with my whine??? WARNING:If you do not want to hear me piss, bitch and moan just how much autism fucking sucks then move along. The day started out good enough with Pudd'n sleeping in until 9 am. He was all snuggly and loving too. We had to make a trip to Wally world because we were out of everything. Pudd'n made a bee line for the video dept. Now he has destroyed every. single. dvd he owns. Over $500 worth gone. We let him pick out a few dvds hoping that a week with out them has sunk in that when you break them, you can no longer view them. I can only entertain him so much. I can only make him do so many house hold chores and I can only do so much "home work" with him. We got through shopping with no problems what so ever. We get to the check out line and he wants to take his jacket off. I told him no and explained to him that we would be leaving shortly. He blew a gasket. I ended up using said jacket in a fashion that turned it in to a straight jacket so he would no longer hit me. I man handle him out and make him sit on the bench while Steve finishes up purchasing our goods. The whole way home he cried and tantrumed. He finally calmed down by the time we pulled in the drive way. We have a 4 pm appointment to go sailing. At 3 pm he has another melt down. Over what I have no clue. He has destroyed 2 of the 3 dvds we had purchased and threw away the markers we just bought. We get to the harbor with out a problem, Pudd'n motions that he wants to leave. Too bad, so sad. I PAID for this, I KNOW you enjoy it, you ARE going. He did enjoy himself and then continued the tantrum on the way home. WTF????!!!!! The picture is the view of the sunset from the sail boat. Pudd'n continues to scream on and off right now. No reason, just opens his mouth and screams. I know other parents of autistic kids have it much harder then we do. But I just feel so damn depressed. Is this puberty? Why is he doing this shit? What happened to my happy child? |
