This getting old shit SUCKS!!!

It looks like I am going to have to follow doctors orders for a change.
This acid reflux stuff is kicking my ass........or should I say burning a hole in my throat?
It is not fair! I mean it is bad enough that my bladder is out of whack, my knees crackle & crunch as I go up stairs, I can hear grinding in my neck when I turn it and don't get me started on my back.
I can't even enjoy an adult beverage as I watch the Stanley cup play offs!

Just great........

It turns out I don't have sinus problems. I have acid reflux and the post nasal drip is my body's way of trying to put out the fire in my throat.
Lovely.
I had no clue that I even had this. The only time I knowningly get heart burn is if I drink too much orange juice. So I'm to pop a few pills, watch what I eat and come back in six weeks. What kind of foods do I avoid? All the kinds I of love of course! Oh and that includes alcohol.
What is an Irish gal to do????

As we were coming home I noticed our gang banger neighbor out side hanging with his homies. They have the music turned up real loud too.
Me: Oh great, now I get to listen to that music.
Steve: They probably know there is a game on today and want to drown out your profanity.
Me: good point.
I'll give the gang banger credit, he did turn down the music with out being told.

Weekend recap

I had a blast just hanging with my boys this weekend.
Friday found Steve replacing some rotting boards on our covered patio. SLH was sitting in my lap when Steve fired up the circular saw.
Yeah, SLH did not like that sound.
I know have a lovely gash on my right knee that is at least 6 inches long and some nice puncture marks on my left thigh.
Sat found Steve finishing the patio and me running errands with my little man. He picked out some toys at a craft store and I got some goodies myself.
Sunday Steve and I went out to lunch while Pudd'n was with grandma. We then went to a used book store where they had a sale of "buy one, get one free".
Monday Pudd'n went to grandma's again while we went to see Star Trek. Lucky for me our warehouse store here sells movie tickets cheap. I refuse to pay full or even matinee prices. Fucking ridiculous on what they are charging now.
After the movie we went to our favorite Italian place where for $20 you get 2 lasagna, 2 spagetti w/meat sauce, 2 salads, 10 inch cheese pizza and all the fresh bread you want. That little deal feeds the 3 of us with no problem.
Now I'm fighting off another sinus issue going on. I'm feeling light headed and I'm getting the "bed spins" when I lay down. It is pretty bad when you think "damn, how much did I drink?" only to realize that you haven't had any thing to drink!
I'm going to see a specialist on Thurs.
Ugh.

Sorry, got nada for you folks. School is almost out. I'm still looking for a night job and for shits & giggles I pulled out my good jewelry to wear. I stopped wearing my wedding set and other beautiful rings because I didn't want to damage them while waitressing. I switched to wearing silver pieces that I wouldn't be up set over if they got jacked up. I'm having fun watching my fingers sparkle.

Prisoner of our own home

We got a notice that where we live, our streets would be getting a new black top. We had to be out by 7 am this morn. Steve read the notice wrong and he thought we could get back on our street by 7pm.
Nope.
The black top has to settle for 24 hrs.
Lovely.
Most of our homes have more than one family living in them. There is a plutera of cars and not enough spots to begin with. I lucked out and got a spot on the main road at the end of our cul de sac. Steve was not so lucky. He ended up having to park almost to the front of our complex. Pudd'n will not be going to grandma's tonight. If we leave we won't have a spot to come back to. Hell there were no spots at 1pm when I got home today.
Oh well.

Shanken, not stirred.

About 8:40 last night I could feel the earth roll beneath me. I asked Steve and he confirmed he felt it too. Next thing you know the whole house is shaking.
GP freaked out, I have no idea where SLH was and Pudd'n could of cared less about the whole thing. For the first time ever I actually felt a little freaked out about an earthquake.
I mixed myself a stiff drink and got over it.

Multiple screaming orgasms..........

Today was our community garage sale.
The first time in the 11 yrs that I have lived here this was the best one yet.
The new neighbor one door over?
She is a former party lyte candle consultant........she had LOTS of crack for sale!!!!!
Jesus christ on a cracker I had a hard time not sounding like Meg Ryan in the movie when harry met sally.
Cathay came by to join in the festivities. She likes to walk and see things as does Steve. So I sent those two off on their merry way while I sat on my fine Celtic ass to people watch and sniff my bounty of candles.
Yeah, I need a life.
On their travels they ran in to a former neighbor that had a shit load of Thomas the Tank Engine on VHS for sale.
Pudd'n had his own screaming orgasm when daddy came home with that mother load.
We pigged out on tacos & tamales, we drank beer, we had vodka.........it was a good morning all around.
Life is good.

Best day Evah!

Today was my monthly get togethe with the girls. In stead of being stuck with a bunch of cackling hens, Steve took Pudd'n to the wild animal park.
Cathy joined me for the festivities and we headed out to Lili's place over the mt.
We were almost there when traffic went to a dead stop.
This is not good, this can only mean one thing.
There is a nasty accident up ahead.
The road to Lili's is a 2 lane road over a mountain. People on crotch rockets love to zip up & down this road. The problem is some times they try to pass a slower moving vehicle and get creamed by on coming traffic.
This is what happened today.
We finally got to move after almost a 1/2 hr and we saw a motorcycle on a flat bed tow truck. There was also a car with the front windshield completely smashed in. The rider went through it for sure.
The rest of the day was idyllic. We ate our selves in to a food coma. We played several vicious rounds of Uno Attack and laughed until our faces hurt.
I am a lucky girl to have such good friends.

Today during one of my classes I recieved a phone call. It was a call back for a job!
Now I didn't get too excited because quiet frankly, I really didn't want to work there.
Hell, I even took Rayanne's advice and "dressed down" as I have seen other people show up to interviews.
I figure something is better than nothing; suck it up and take the job!
I went to go talk to Mr. G and it turns out it really is not worth my time to take the position. I'd work 2 nights and 2 day shifts.
The really shitty shifts.
So I passed. I did not want to waste Mr. G's time nor my own.
I then flew out and put out several more apps before going to get the light of my life.
I of course was feeling irritable and when I came home what did I see?
A beautiful arrangement of flowers in the kitchen with a sign that says "Happy mother's day from Pudd'n & Daddy".
AND the kitchen was cleaned up from this morning's cook fest.
AND my man is bringing home chinese food.
I'm a lucky girl.

My deepest sympathy.........

It seems that Ralph's wife has found Satan's Little Helper's sibling .
His wife found a kitten in the road and being the kind hearted woman she is resuced it. Like SLH it is an orange kitten with an eye problem.
Yeah, they are SO fucked.
Ralph, the kitten is going to cost you in vet bills but will be worth it and the insanity it brings to your house.
They really ARE good cats.
They are just a little psychotic.

An all around gret day

After riding the May pole I took Anthony out of school early to go play in Linda's pool.
She was going to be gone until late tonight and did not want her dog Cujo to get lonely.
Cujo has a dog door and free fed so that wasn't a problem. She wanted some one to play with him for a few hours. So Pudd'n played in the pool and GP kept Cujo entertained.
I'm now eating a banna split pie from Marie Colanders.
Life is good.
