WARNING!
I have a full bottle of whiskey and hopefully I can restrain my self from drunk blogging AND drunk commenting. Hopefully chatting with Spaz & Lissie on line tonight will keep me occupied so I don't make more of ass of my self than I already have. I checked out '85's number one hits and they all sucked, so I'm sticking with '84 even though the year was almost over with. 1. Against all odds (take a look at me now)-Phill Collins. I remember seeing this cheezy ass movies at the drive in. I saw it with my friend Renee and her brother Jack. It was also the last time I ever had the pleasure of going to the drive in. I miss going to those. 2. Footloose- Kenny Loggins. Spaz and I could not afford to go with our school's senior trips to exotic lands. So we made our own Senior trip. She used to live up in Traverse City, so we packed up her little honda civic and headed up there. We had a blast, the bath tub was filled with beer and people coming in & out of our hotel room. We saw Footloose while we were there, the whole sound track brings back some great memories. 3.Missing You- John Waite. Ah this song. When I came out here to Californifcation on vacation, I got involved in what we would call a "playa" now a days. He broke my heart in to a millions little pieces. When I went back to Michigan to pack my stuff up to move back here, this song used to make me think of him. Now when I hear the song, all I can think of was what a dumb ass I was. But hey, I was only 17/18 years old. 4. Out of Touch- Hall & Oats. This song reminds me of this place I used to go to shoot pool and check out guys. 'Nuf said. 5. Owner of a Lonely Heart- Yes Many memories with this one. Mostly revolve around working at my very first waitressing job at Bill Knapps and the crew I hung out with. (Have you ever seen the movie "Waiting"? 98% of that movie was a flash back to when I worked night shift.) So there ya have it folks. My trip down memory lane. Now who to pick??? 1. The beach was absolutly wonderful yesterday. Goat & Pudd'n had a great time as always. The waves are always so soothing. All of us passed out at 8pm last night and thankfully Pudd'n slept through the night.
The wonderfulf and HAWT Momma LL tagged me with a meme. I'll have to do that later on today. It involves music and a trip down memeory lane and I get to tag 5 people. So I'll let you sweat all day on who's happy ass I'm going to be tagging.

Work sucked hot sweaty donkey balls tonight.
I came in and saw Slappy Jr. working. Oh fucking great! I won't be making any money tonight! And I didn't. I don't know why Slappy Jr. was there and neither did he. His father is losing it. I had a grand total of two tables, but what I lost out on I made up for it in whiskey. Steve is still on call, so he had to drive me to work. Which means I can get a nice buzz at work and not worry about driving. So that is what I did. Slappy Sr. told me to add something to my caffiene drink, he did not have to tell me twice. Plus it is "taco tuesday" (yeah I know we are supposed to be primarily Italian food) so Steve and I eat for free. Pudd'n gets a whole pizza for $3.00 so I can't complain. Tomorrow it is Pudd'ns half day so I think we'll make the treak down to the beach. Labels: booze and food

Friday, May 25, 2007  Yesterday was "Teacher's aid appriciation day" at my high school. I've been an aid for 7 years now and this is the first time they've had this. They've always had "Teacher appriciation day", but never one for aids. I started out as a subsitute teacher's aid for special needs kids. When ever an aid needed the day off, she'd get my name from a list and call. If I could work for her great, easy money. For 4 years I did this, I was hoping to learn something that I could impliment for my own son. The only thing I found was that I was too damn tired at the end of the day to deal with my own kid. So when I came upon the my current position, working at the high school I jumped at it. The teacher Linda is AWESOME. She loves 80's music, runs a tight ship and holds kids accountable for their actions. She puts up with NO shit and I swear by all that is holy, if all my teachers were like her; I'd have learned a hell of a lot more in school. I digress.......a bit. Any way, they had this breakfast planned for the aids and I was supposed to attend. Linda basically chased me out the door to go. I'm all for free food I scampered outta class. As I stuffed my face and chatted with the other gals one of my students walks in with the "card" you see pictured. I almost started to cry when I read it. Linda also gave me a gift certificate to Tarjay. I love my job. The kids are the best and I feel so blessed to have them in my life. If you had told me as a teenager that I'd wind up working in a high school ( I loathed school) I would of asked what you were smoking and could I have some. Funny how life turns out eh? My sophmore boys were not done tormenting me about Detroit losing. When I walked in, on my desk was a mug with the Ducks logo. Vocab papers were turned in and they managed to put Detroit loss in to their voab sentances. Noogies were promptly despensed.

My students thought it would be funny to tease me about the game last night.
I just gave them a very evil smile and said: "Ms. Maeve is very sad that her team lost. Why don't you come over here and give me a hug?". Shockingly no one had the balls to come over and do it. Probably because they knew I'd put them in a head lock and give them noogies. At least my afternoon was nice. I took Pudd'n and the dog down to the beach for some fun. The dog is exhausted, too bad Pudd'n isn't. That kid is never tired!!!

Some people really have a death wish.........
I don't know if any of you caught yesterday's game with the Ducks & Detroit; but with only 47 mother fucking, cocksucking goddamm seconds left the Ducks tied it up. Then Detroit lost in O/T. Today I come to class and one of my students has the gall to ask: "Hey Ms. Maeve, did you see Detroit lose yesterday??" I asked him "How about I throw something at your head?" Shortly after that my darling pain in the ass husband sends me a photo text message. It is the front of the LA Times and it shows the winning goal. And to top it off I found the goddamn paper on the front seat of the short bus when I went to leave work today. Fucker, I'll get him. He thinks he's soooooooo funny. On to happier things. I just ordered tickets for Medieval Times for when Chickie and her brood come out in July. It is going to be a great time.

OMFG!!!
Is my sister trying to kill me??? I picked up the shoes that she requires me to wear in her wedding. They don't come in a wide size and there is a 3 inch spiked heel on them. I'm 5'10 with out shoes barflies! My husband is 5'7. You do the math. I now really look like amazon woman next to him in these things! I wore them around the house for about 20 minutes hoping to strech them out. It is now 2 hours later and my knees are still killing me from having those damn things on! I am definitly buying some slippers to wear after the service. Labels: shoes

Cue the theme to the Twilight Zone...............
Pudd'n is happily stemming about the house. I'm on the computer and Steve is watching tv. Pudd'n hops up on the back of the couch. Steve says "I love you Pudd'n". Pudd'n replys with "I love you too". I whip around and look at Steve and ask "did he just say what I thought he said?!?!". Steve confirmed that I was not delusional, he heard it too. So of course the first people I'm goint to call is my mom & step dad. They are the biggest presents in Pudd'ns life beside us. Turns out my step brother had a dream last night. He dremt that Pudd'n spoke and what he said was "I love you too". HOLY. FUCKING. SHIT. I thought my step father was going to start crying. Hell, Steve and I were ready to start crying we were so excited. |
