WE MADE IT!!

We rolled in to MI about 1/2 hr ago. It feels good to get off the road. We had a great time in PA. That is a very pretty state. We found a great bar & grill by the hotel and stuffed ourselves. The only thing that sucked wind was that you could only buy alcohol at state run stores. And of course they were not open on Sunday. But you could buy 6 packs of beer from any bar that was open. The choices of beer you could get really sucked. We made do and had a great time.
And of course it is calling for rain on the day of my big bbq pool party.

I loathe packing

Here sits the suitcase in the living room mocking me. I hate packing. I hate unpacking even more. What is going to make it twice as fun is my back. I was really hoping that by now I'd be feeling better. It is bad enough that this old injury side lined my excersize routine. THAT pisses me off. I was finally starting to see some results and now this. Fuck me running! This is not fair! I'm lucky enough to get the dog for a walk when the pain meds kick in. I'm going to be having loads of fun walking on the beach tomorrow with Pudd'n.
Tomorrow night I leave for PA where I will meet up with my partner in crime and we'll make the drive to MI. We'll be staying the night in Shittsburg on Sunday.
Looks like I'll be eating a lot of flexurol...........

A slice of heaven

For TA appreciation day Linda gave me a gift certificate to get a pedicure. Not only did she pay the extra $$ for the extended massage, she paid for the tip too!
I now have soft, lovely feet with toes painted a snazzy shade of red. The chair that I sat in was out of this world. It wasn't your normal massage chair with broken controls. Oh no, this one was state of the art! The massage nubbies (for lack of a better word) hit my sciatic nerve perfectly and massaged all the kinks out.
I was in such heaven that I didn't bother to read the magazine I brought. I just leaned back and closed my eyes to full enjoy the experience.
You see where this is going don't you?
I passed out.
When Tami started to massage my toes individually I thought it was SLH attacking my feet as usual. It startled me and I jumped up in the chair scaring Tami & a co worker! I apologised profusely. It was pretty embarrassing.
Any way I now can wear my cute sandals and admire my pretty red toes.

I really did it now.....

Between yoga, the ellipitcal, schelping stuff to the beach and having my ankles up around my head while playing hide the sausage; I jacked my back up.
I had to take a flexerol and I hate taking them. What I'm going to hate even more is making the time to go to the doctor for this.

Pray for sunny weather on the 1st.

Well my pot luck pool party has grown to about 25 people. I pray to all that is holy that we have good weather and no thunder storms. Spaz's house is MAYBE 900 sq ft ?? Either way, I'm glad every one is coming to see me in stead of me driving all over MI to see every one. I am getting so excited for my trip I am ready to pee myself.
I'm socking things away that I want to bring with me. A friend from elementary will also be in MI at the same time. She is bringing her family to the party. I'm packing two bryer model horse's for Jo's daughters. That is what Jo & I played with in stead of barbies.
Today at the beach was heaven. No one was there! The weather was crappy, but the water was warm. The life guard gave me no grief what so ever about GP being there. Pudd'n had a grand time. Life is good right now.

Let the games begin!

Had a fabulous time at the beach even though I was barely there five minutes when I got harassed by an old man about GP.
Old fart: Excuse me, can I see your member ship card?
Me: I don't need one, I'm not inside your fence. I'm out on county property.
OF: (in a snotty tone) well your dog is supposed to be wearing his vest at all times!
Me: I'm not ruining a $100 service vest. His vest is right here (attached to umbrella) and his service card is in the pocket of my beach chair. That is all you need to know.
OF: Well you are going to get a $300 fine!
Me: Bring it.
Needless to say neither animal control or cops showed up and I had a lovely 2 1/2 hrs of fun on the beach with my kid.
Shit, the last time animal control was patrolling the beach she just looked at the vest and told me to have fun.
The water was nice and the waves not too big. I was able to get GP on the boogie board several time and I have the scratches & bruises to prove it.
Now I feel like I've been hit by a truck (I don't think the 40 min of yoga & 20 min on the elliptical helped either).
I'm cheating on my no no list. I'm getting a bottle of wine. I deserve it damn it!~

First day of summer vacation!

And what better way to spend it than with a head cold! Yeaaaa me!
Cathy is coming by and we'll load up the shag'n wagon and start heading down to do our yearly beach thing. Lets see if I get half as much harassed I was last year. Gawd I hope not. I don't need to end up in the back of a police car for letting some dumb ass have it about service dogs & children with special needs.
I wish that Aunt Selma still had her place on the beach. So less stressful.
Oh well.
Next weekend my Pudd'n will be come a TEENAGER and I'll be leaving for PA for a road trip. I'm so excited I'm ready to burst. On July 1st we'll be having a pot luck pool party for friends & family. I want to get everyon together at one spot so I'm not spending my entire time in MI driving every where to see every one. Now I just have to pray for sunny weather. Spaz's house is maybe 900 sq ft and there is at least 18 people showing up. Looks like we will be decorating the garage for some extra room!
Time to drag my carcass to the ellipitcal.

I got a fun email from my friend gayle. She asked "If you saw me in the back of a police car, what do you think I was arrested for?". You then told her what you'd think it was and then tag other people what they thought you would be arrested for.
This is what I have so far from my friends on what they thought I'd be put in cuffs for:

1. For breaking in to Osgood's home.
2.It will be a misunderstanding having to do with nekkidness, booze, and mauling a hockey player. TOTALLY a misunderstanding. For sure.
3.For assaulting someone for saying something derogatory or disrespectful about Pudd'n.
4.Prostitution..... (gee thanks Pat!)

12 more days!

In 12 more days I'll be headed to PA to meet up with my beotch and have a road trip. I really was looking forward to wearing a 2009 Detroit Redwings stanley cup winner t -shirt as we made our way through shittsburg; but I guess it was not meant to be.
It finally warmed up enough for me to give GP a bath in the drive way. I then took him for a walk in hopes of getting him to dry off quicker. That dog has a serious amount of hair.

Game 7 tonight

TGIF!!!!!!

Yesterday we went to a new drive in diner that recieved a lot of hype. It was like the old A&W drive ins with girls delievering your food on roller skates after your placed your order in the box next to your car. We usually order two large combo meals and share it between the three of us. Pudd'n will only eat french fries or onion rings, so we'd eat the burgers and the boys would have the drinks. I ordered a shake and figured we'd throw in two chicken strips to see if Pudd'n liked them.
The food arrived and boy were we ever dissapointed. They got the size of the shake wrong and when we looked at the fries, they too were a small size and looked like crap. I sent both back and just about shit my pants when that "small" box of fries was actually the large size.
WTF?????
This box of fries was smaller than a medium size of fries from Mc D's!! Pudd'n didn't like their onion rings and I felt like shit handing him this small ass box of fries. We promptly pulled out and went down the street to Windy's and got him some fries & nuggets there. He ate everything.
Oh and to get in to this place first you had to go to the "docking station" up the street at Tarjaye, drive back down to this place and present your "pass" to get in.
Needless to say we won't be going back there at all.
And on to happier news!
July 29th will find me hanging out with my favorite flower Bables! She will be in CA for 24 hrs and we plan to cram as much laughter & grazing of food as we can. She was going to stay the night here, but then came up with the brilliant plan of us just staying at a nice hotel where her appt. is. It will be like a mini Vegas trip that we used to take several years back. I can't wait to see her, I think it has been at least 3 years since she moved out? Two? Either way it has been too long.
And speaking of not seeing an old friend in a long time, when I go home this month I will see some one that I have not seen in 28 years!
J. found me & Spaz through facebook. I actually knew J before spaz. She and I lived in the same apt. building. AND she'll be bringing her THREE aussie dogs!!!!!
Does any one know how to drop 30lbs by the end of this month?
No? Didn't think so..........damn!
Any way, I'm excited for all the great friends that I will be seeing this summer.
I'm geeked beyond belief to say the least!

getting out of the norm

Yesterday Steve and I got out of the norm and decided to live on the edge a little. We drove in to LB to window shop. Sounds like a wild time eh? If tourist season was in full swing then it would have been. Lucky for what is left of my sanity, it was still early enough where LB was enjoyable. We went to a little shopping plaza that over looks the ocean. Sadly, most of the shops were closed down; there was only 5 operating stores open and a restaurant. We ordered some drinks and shared an appitizer while looking out over the ocean blue. I enjoyed watching the flocks of pelicans skimming the ocean for their dinner. We had a really nice time and it was really nice to do something different for a change.

Not much going on here. The natives are getting really restless at school. The wings will be going to game seven on Friday.
Fuckers better win it.
Pudd'n is getting over yet another cold. Ugh.
I have yet another appointment to go to today. They screwed something up with the first impressions they made for a night guard on Monday, so I have to go in today for another one. Oh joy. Tomorrow I go in for new orthodics for my heel spurs. Visa is loving me this month.
I got my hair cut yesterday and boy does it ever feel better. I wonder if my hair dresser will come with me if I ever get to move out of this state?

Twos day

I wonder what sort of antics our gang slugs were up to last night. The complex maitenece guy was able to get the graffiti off of the trash can & tree in the park by my house.
Today I get my hair cut and I can't wait. My bangs are way down my face and I can't do jack shit with them.
I've got two new books for the plane ride I'll be taking soon. I'm going to make up a special "road trip 09" for me & Spaz to listen to as we drive the many miles back to MI.
B& B has their yearly blow out sale so I got a few fabulous smelling travel sized goodies to pack. I just wish I had the funds to get a few new summer clothes.

Yesterday Steve went to go move his car back in our driveway when he noticed something in the little park three doors down from our house.
Gang memebers tagged a trash can & tree there.
Today as he drives out he notices that at least a dozen cars parked a long the main road in our complex have at least two tires slashed per car.
Just fucking lovely.
The waste of space, pansy assed, chicken shitted, stupid ass, mother fucking gang member are at it again.
Fucking morons think they are so cool distroying people's property and acting all thug like. I'm so pissed off right now I'm ready to spit nails.

ROAD TRIP!!!!!

My soul sista M. is sadly going through a divorce. Her brother offered her to use a extra car he had for a year. She just has to pay insurance.
Oh and go pick it up in PA.
M lives in MI.
To make sure she doesn't have to drive solo he offered to pay for MY plane fare to get out there and drive back with her. When I told my mom of my up coming trip, her response was:

"You & M? Does your husband know how you two get when you get together? Is he crazy? Does he have bail money?"

I'd get indignant, but if any one knows us; it is my mother!

First and foremost, let me tell you that I'm a HUGE

fan of yours.

As my friend, you always seem to be there when needed.

The perfect post-work cocktail, a beer at the game and

you're even around at the holidays (hidden inside

chocolates as you warm us when we're stuck in the

midst of endless family gatherings).

However, lately I've been wondering about your

intentions. While I want to believe that you have my

best interests at heart, I feel that your influence

has led to some unwise consequences:

1. Phone Calls/Text Messages: While I agree with you

that communication is important. I question the

suggestion that conversation after 2 a.m. can have

much substance or necessity. Why would you make me

call my ex's? Especially when I know, for a fact, they

DO NOT want to hear from me during the day,

let alone all hours of the night.

2. Eating: Now, you know I love a good meal. But, why

do you suggest that I eat a taco with chili sauce

along with a big Italian meatball and some stale chips

(washed down with wine & topped off with a Kit Kat

AFTER a few cheese curls & chili cheese fries)? I'm an
eclectic eater but, I think you went too far this time.

3. Clumsiness: Unless you're subtly trying to tell me

that I need to do more yoga to improve my balance, I

see NO need to hammer this issue home by causing me to

fall down. It's completely unnecessary, and the black

& blue marks that appear on my body mysteriously the

next day are beyond me. Similarly, it should never

take me more than 45 seconds to get the front door key

into the lock.

4. Furthermore: The hangovers have GOT to stop! This

is getting ridiculous. I know a little penance for our

previous evening's debauchery may be in order. But,

the 3 p.m. hangover immobility is completely

unacceptable. My entire day is shot. I ask that if the

proper precautions are taken (water, vitamin B, bread

products, aspirin) prior to going to sleep/passing out

(face down on the kitchen floor with a bag of popcorn

or wherever). The hangover should be minimal and in no

way interfere with my daily activities.

Alcohol, I have enjoyed our friendship for some years

now and would like to ensure that we remain on good

terms. You've been the invoker of great stories, the

provocation for much laughter, and the needed

companion when I just don't know what to do with the

extra money in my pockets.

In order to continue this friendship, I ask that you

carefully review my grievances above and address them

immediately. I will look for an answer no later than

Friday 3 p.m. (pre happy hour) on your possible

solutions. And hopefully we can continue this fruitful

partnership.

Too cranky to be around

I almost felt sorry for my students today.
I was a real cranky bitch this morning. But in my defence, we had a sub and the kids become real ass hats when we have one of those.
So I had to do several smack downs and threats of sending kids that couldn't keep their damn mouths shut up to the AP.
And not just any Ole AP. I'm sending them to Linda's husband.
Yeah, you don't want to be on the receiving end of pissing that man off.
The freshmen were easier to tow the line. It is the upper classmen that get real douchebagish.
Only 2 weeks left of school and we all want out.
