Yule tide fun

It is officially Christmas at my house. My tree is up and all the decorations are out. I thought I'd be slick and hang my out side lights while there was a break in the rain. I just run them straight across the front of my garage. 5 min. tops, easy right?
It started to really rain when I was half way through.
Figures.
Oh well. My house looks great and I look forward to seeing the bitches & ho's. I've also got 2 parties to go to that should be a lot of fun.
And have I told you barflies that where I used to work is closing as at the end of Dec?
Slappy ran the place in to the ground and also in the same business complex the land lord has rented to another Italian restaurant.
I'm just glad I'm outta there.

Edumacation

I'm taking a college course!
Whoot!
Linda gave me a flyer from the district advertising a class they were offering. When I complete it I earn 3 credits, can make $15 more a month and earn the title of para professional 1. The classes are being held where I work, how easy is that? I don't have to go to the damn college and fight/pay for parking. The class is held 2 nights a week for 3 hours. I also got to apply on line.
I've got more good news barflies. Starting next semester I won't be working with those dooshbags in P2 any more. Linda went to bat for me and pointed out the fact that the school screwed up putting all those little assholes in one class. It was not fair that I should have to be the aid to shoulder the burden of going in there. Next semester the other aids will have the joy of working in that class in a rotating schedual. I swear those little dooshbags are energy vampires.
Pudd'n is at my mom's again. He's pretty sick, my poor baby. I guess I'll go walk the dogs before going to work.

It turns out the girl that did it is the girlfriend of one of our neighbor's sons. The father even "casually" strolled by to make sure that they were doing the right thing and taking responsibility for their actions.
The girl had shook my hand, looked me in the eye and apologised several times. We told her how much it was going to take to fix it and she said she'd come by with the money. Steve will fix it this weekend.
Pudd'n is at my mom's for today. I'm sure it won't break his heart any to stay home another day.

My poor Pudd'n and the idiot fucking people in my neighborhood.

My poor Pudd'n has caught a bug that is going around. I just hope to Goddess that is not the one where people are losing their voices and on serious meds. He didn't want to go to Grandmaland last night, so Steve is going to stay home today to take care of him.
And now on to the fucking idiots that drive in my neighborhood.
Any one who has been to where I live knows that parking is a premium here. You usually have several families living in one house. Now during the day, there is not such a problem. Every one is at work; PLEANTY of parking.
What does the friend of my next door neighbor do? They don't bother to park their car in a designated spot. They just stop the car in front of the house at an angle and get out.
Oh and they forgot to put the car in park!!!!
The car came up and over the lawn and crashed in to the little decorative white fence that separates our lawn. Had that fence not been there; they would of crashed in to our front gate and garage. She left a note in our mail box with her phone number. I'll be calling her later today. I had to get ready for work last night and Steve was dealing with a sick child so he could not run out to Home Dep*t and price out new fencing.

Back to the grind.

I'm not the only one not happy about having our vacation over. Pudd'n was pretty pissed when I started making his lunch and then pulling out his clothes.
I feel his pain, truly I do.
Over the weekend I went to a baby shower for Pudd'ns former teacher. She was in from the windy city for a visit and I couldn't wait to see her. On the invite it clearly stated that the first half of the shower was for adults. At 2:30 the kids were invited to come and visit. The party was held in a central location of where all her former students lives. When I arrived I noticed one of Pudd'ns former class mates Mia and with Mia were two other kids I did not know. It turns out that Mia's mom not only just dropped Mia off and left; she also dropped off Mia's brother and cousin.
Okaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy............
Kind of rude if you ask me. The kids behaved well until Rose came. Rose has CP and is in a wheel chair. The brother and the cousin blatanly came up and started staring and gawking at Rose. That did not fly well with me. I leaned down and asked them if they needed any thing. They said "no" so I told them that it was RUDE to stand there and stare at some one. They went back in to the living room and we had no more problems until Pudd'n arrived.
Pudd'n was not happy to be at a home he's never been to and he sure as hell does not care for parties. What was really ironic is that all of Lisa's former boy students did not want to be at the party (one boy has down's and the other is E.D. so I know it just wasn't the autism). Lisa's former girl students were more than happy to go and visit.
Well, Pudd'n is standing there throwing a pretty good tantrum and crying.
Mia's brother & cousin again comes up and starts gawking. I asked them again do you need something? Again they said "No". So this time I gave them the look of death when I said "It is RUDE of you to stand there and stare". Those kids took off like a bat out of hell this time. Steve got a laugh out of that one. I explained to him what had happened when Rose came. It really bugs the shit out of me when people stop and stare at my kid as if he is some sort of freak of nature (his mother is. He is not).
We obviously did not stay long at the party. It got really chaotic and between Pudd'n and Charlie (the boy who is E.D.) the energy was really over the top.
Ugh. I guess I'd better drag my sorry ass in to the bathroom and do something with my hair before I leave for work.
How many more days until Yule vacation??

My little picaso

Pudd'n is back in to painting. He does not paint scenery, he paints like a typical toddler. Just brushes the paint on the paper in long streaks & blobs. Who knows, some people call that art and pay big bucks for it. I just may have something going on.
Any way. Pudd'ns new thing to make a huge mess is to spit what ever beverage he's drinking in to the paint cup and then use it on the paper. Or he'll spit the beverage on the already painted surface of the paper. Either way, it is another damn mess I don't feel like cleaning up. So now there is rule of either paint or a beverage in his room. Not both.
Last night he had his drink in the kitchen and he kept trying to take mouthfulls of his soda in to his room to spit in the paint cups. I caught on real quick and I'd block him in the kitchen. He in turn tried to act like there was nothing in his mouth and tell me to "go go". I couldn't stop laughing;he looked so damn cute trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I made sure he swallowed the soda before levaing the kitchen. He tried this numerous times and I busted him every single time.

Family ties that bind and gag

I was over at Sandy's place for my morning read and her posts got me thinking of some of the crap FM and his offspring are pulling. FM went through rehab again and Lisa was taken in to the emergency for having a bad trip on LSD and Ecstasy.
It was really hard to sit at the dinner table Thanksgiving and not choke the shit out of them. FM had normal kids and he sure as hell fucked them up (along with his ex wife).
Later on I had to go sit out side for some fresh air, it had gotten really stuffy in the restaurant. Bart came out and started pulling the "pity me" shit. I know he smokes pot and lies through his teeth (just like his mother) so I basically let him know I really didn't give a flying fuck what the hell they are all doing.
Do you see my son, your cousin here? Why the hell do you think we had to leave early last weekend. Shit, Bart has fucking lived with us on & off all his life. He knows what we put up with on a daily basis and all he can do is think of himself. He did not ask ONCE about Pudd'n and how he was doing.
We are cordial to them; but no longer come running to bail them out.
You fuck up. You live with the consequences.

Mini Vegas

I'm slacking.
My neighbors have already gotten their Christmas lights up. It is already looking like Vegas around here. We were dead at work tonight. I made $50 on a FRIDAY night.
Ugh.
I was supposed to close, but Daniel asked if he could do it in stead.
OH HELL YES!
I hugged him and told him that I loved him. I HATE closing and with how slow it was tonight; I'm sure there was not much more money to be made.
Pudd'n has distroyed every single video he owns. He's stemming a lot more (running up & down the hall) and he is now teaching himself to work the DVR. We have Barney recorded on that and all he wants to hear is the theme song over & over.
So we showed him what buttons to push. I'll have to ask Steve if Pudd'n has figured it out yet or not while I was at work.
The winds are kicking up and it is making me nervous. The winds always bring the fire bugs out.

Stick a fork in me, I'm done!

Lord did I ever eat my way in to a food coma today! Dinner ended with me & Aussie fighting over who was going to get the slices of pumpkin pie that several people in our group did not want.
I picked up my marines 8 am sharp.
These were the quietest boys I've ever had yet.
They didn't smoke and when I offered them a beer, they looked at me as if I had two heads.
"Ma'm, we are not allowed to drink".
Okaaayyyyyyy.
Well they did loosen up a bit by dinner to nurse, but not finish a beer. One boy C. was having a real hard time in boot camp and he did not feel he was cut out for a life in the military. This boy did not crack a smile all day; he was tighter than a drum. I suggested maybe he could talk to a Chaplin. I have no idea what it takes or if he can get out of his contract.
All in all, it was a nice day. Now it is time to relax.

Why??

As a reinforcer to get Pudd'n in to a store we let him buy a dvd of his choice. As you all know, he's destroyed at least $200 dollars worth in the past four days. He picked out a two pack to Thomas the Tank engine today at the super ware house. I only agreed to buying them because we were getting two for the price of one.
Guess what is in the trash all mangled right now?
And guess what he mangled from Sunday's purchase??
$30. down the drain.
WHY?!?!
Guess we won't be buying any dvds' any time soon. We don't have that kind of money to throw around.
Some times autism really sucks.

Not enough hours in the day.

In two days it will be Thanksgiving. We have much to be thankful for to say the least.
It is a mad dash now to get the house in order for when we bring home two Marines from basic training and subject them to our dysfunctional family. Steve and I got the yard work done this morning. We weeded, raked, put down 9 bags of mulch and watered. We then dashed off to give GP a bath at the do it your self dog wash place before we had to pick up Pudd'n from my mom's.
Thank you every one for your kind words. It has just been very stressful the past few days. Yesterday was nice. We headed down to the Zoo for a few hours before I had to go to work. Steve has the week off as do Pudd'n & I; so we are trying to do fun things for Pudd'n to enjoy.
I've got some Blue Moon Beer for the Marines and some magazines. I think we will pass on the strip club. We really can't afford to swing it. So it will have to be crusing the harbor & the beaches for some fun. Maybe we'll swing by Aunt Selma's place to hang out there. Where she lives, it is full of retired Marines.
Well we are off to go to the chiropractor. I am in desperete need of an adjustment.

Possibly the worst weekend of my life.

My crappy weekend started out with Pudd'n distroying at least a hundred dollars worth of his DVDs for reasons only known to him.
Then Sat we packed up lots of snacks, beverages and his portable DVD player to take to Aunt Selma's. She was hosting the usual "family Thanksgiving" at her club house. We love going there, it is the one place were Steve and I usally can sit and relax while Pudd'n plays in the pool. I was looking forward to eating my self in to a food coma and then take a dip in the pool with my son. It was not ment to be.
We were there for a total of half an hour. I had gone in side to cut Steve some cake, he wanted dessert first. As I came out I could tell something was wrong by the look on his face.
Pudd'n had shit in the pool.
And not just a little floater. Nope, big ol' shit and it was dissolving fast at the bottom of the pristine pool. Steve and I were mortified to say the least. He quickly got Aunt Selma and she tried to assure us it was "no big deal". To us it is.
Her mobile home managers are gracious enough to let us park there during the summer so we have an easy access to the beach and we don't have to feed meters. We swim in that pool on a regular basis too. This past summer they have had a problem with vandals and the pool. So bad that at one time they had to drain the pool to clean it.
And now my son takes a huge crap in it. As the managers came to rope off the pool we left. We were horrified and embarassed. I could not stop crying. It just hits you at times that this is all there is going to be in this life. Big dissapointments and lots of them. No matter what we do or how much money we spend, Pudd'n is just not going to emerge from autism. My son is going to have to live in a group home when we become too old to take care of him any more. My heart is breaking. Who is going to love my son when I'm dead? Why hasn't any thing we've done helped him???

OH.MY.GAWD.......

I thought I was tired after closing last week?
Shit, it is nothing compared to how I feel tonight! I was there until the bitter end and I was busting my ass all night. They started to cut people around 8:30 and the host informed me that I was now in a different section and I had a new table.
I don't think so mini Slappy.
I had a party of 6, 4, 3, 4 and 2 in my section. I was no where near done taking care of them and I sure as hell could not pick up any more tables. I informed him that he needed to give that section to the other closer because I was having none of it. They switched me over to the 60's in stead. I told the host: "if you seat me, I swear by all that is holy that I will take you out".
He assured me he would not and just to let him know when I was caught up. And he ran off......literally. I think I scared him.
I did not get home until after midnight tonight or should I say this morning? I'm fucking whipped and not in a good way. I wish I had a jacuzzi, I'd be soaking my sore muscles in it right now.

I love my day job.

Remember a few weeks back when I made 21 sugar skulls for Spanish class? Today they suprised me with a lovely hand made "Thank you" card and a generous monetary gift. Since Steve is always supporting me in my artistic endevors, I'll be treating us to a nice dinner out.

The card really touched my heart; all the kids said such sweet things. The skulls are now on display in the library along with the little Dia De Los Muertos alters the kids had made up. I've got to remember my camera and snap off a few pics tomorrow.

Blah.

Last night when I took Pudd'n to my mom's he actually didn't want to go! WTF? That kids loves to go to grammy's. Steve was called out on a job and I had to get to work; so Pudd'n had to go. I'm talking the kid was crying and throwing a good tantrum he did want to go. I promised that I would pick him up as soon as I got out of work. He just gave me a dirty look. I let the manager know that I needed to be cut off the floor as soon as possible. They took it to heart and told me to leave with in 20 min. Pudd'n was happy to come home and I had no further out bursts. I was totally floored he didn't want to go.
Then today I find out that one of my regular students has a hit list against some of his class mates. Just fucking lovely! I never would of guessed this kid having something like this, but I guess he does. What is wrong with today's kids? Every time I have to work the 2nd period class with the dooshbags I am amazed at the lack of respect and just the general attitude they have that "every one owes" them. They are ungrateful for what they do have and bitch if they don't get something they want. God forbid they have to work for it.
Gah!
I'm going to go walk the dogs.

No news is good news?

I talked to Linda this morning and she said that they may have closed the street off because there was a big band compitition held at our school. Ok, I can see that. But then why the hovering helecopter for half an hour? I don't forsee a band compititon being that big!

A sign of the times.

I remember being threatened with "I'll give you to the gypsies" when I was a wee lass.

Some how that seems less scary then being the off spring of the latest train wreak.

My little corner of the world is getting way too busy in a bad way.

For the past twenty minutes there has been a helicopter hovering up above in the vicinity of my neighborhood. It is pointed to what I'm assuming is the high school I work at. This morning when Steve left for work at 6:30 am our main road was closed from Spotted B. where the horse properties are. He had to turn around and take the other way out to the freeway. From the freeway he could see that our main road was closed from Spotted B. all the way down to Via E. where you turn to go up to the high school.
I've got the local news on, but have yet to hear anything about what is going on.
I miss the days of S.J.C. being a sleepy little town. This just sucks.

Dirty, Erotic, Nasty Flash back Pleasures.......

There is a new program out called moonlight that is cheezy, marginal writing at best.
Why do I watch it?
The lead actor. He is a spitting image of a guy I dated when I was seventeen.
The only difference was RJ had auburn hair. Other wise the face, body and mannerisims are the same.

Sniff, Sniff..........what's that smell??

Yesterday after making a trip to Wally world we came home and started to unload our goodies when we noticed a smell. A smell I could do with out for a very long time thank you very much. It was the smell of something burning. It was the middle of a sunny day, so we knew it was not a fire place going. Steve checked the roof and I checked the surrounding sky line for tell tale billowing smoke. I didn't see any brown/black clouds, but I did see ash falling.
OH SHIT.
Not good!
Then Steve noticed some white smoke down behind the condos from our back yard. He drove to that area to see if some one's condo was on fire. He didn't find anything in our area; but did notice that the smoke was coming from the million dollar horse properties that butt up against our little neck of the world. By then I could hear the sirens screaming of the fire trucks that were on the way. The fire was put out licky split and our lives went on as normal.

I am tired!!!
I found out I was closing tonight. Fuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkk meeeeeeee!!
GAH!
I did not walk out until 11:30 pm. I know that may not be late to some of you, but my bed time is normally 9:30 pm and I seriously busted my ass tonight. I just popped a shit load of ibuprophen and I'm eyeing the whiskey bottle. I'm too damn tired to get up and mix my self a drink. Shit, I barely had the energy to take a shower.
School was loads of drama today. The blood drive was going on, so I went in to drop off a pint. As I was walking out when I was done, I noticed a fire truck and ambulance parked out front. Some girl passed out in the bathroom and they had to take her to the hospital. She didn't give blood, so I don't know what happened. Then I found out some kid looked at his bag of blood and puked every where.
Ok, I think I'm going to go crawl to the booze cubbord. Damn am I sore.

Ok, we all know I'm not the brightest bulb in the package when it comes to this computer stuff. Between my friends Lili, Chickie and Aussie; they have kept this place spiffy looking. Waaaaayyy back when I first started doing spewing my drivel, Lili signed me up to Truth Laid Bear. The past few days I've been an "adorable rodent".

Last night I got an email from my bitch Lili. The girl is waaaaaaayyyy to busy if you ask me. Any way, the salutation started with what I thought said "Hello my fine Irish friend".
What it really said was "Hello my fine Irish fiend".
Um girlfriend, Irish lasses shouldn't be throwing stones when they them selves live in glass houses.......m'kay? I'm just say'n, because we all know you are a bigger freak than me.
Any way, my house is really quiet with out the extra dogs. I finally gotten used to have little warm bodies lay on my feet as I sit at my computer and now they are gone!
Aussie & Athena also really out did them selves and gave me three bags of choc. covered mac nuts and FOUR bottles of guava syrup!
YUM!
Last night we went to the mall of the pretty, plastic filled people so I could get my moisturizer at Bloomies. They had a great "gift with purchase" going on. While we were there, we saw a couple with a eighteen month old St. Bernard puppy. That bad boy was already 160 lbs!!!!!! His paws were as big as my horse's hoofs! Holy shit!
The puppy wanted to play with GP in the worse way, but GP knowing he was out weighed by a good 60 lbs wanted nothing to do with him.
And that barflies is my life in a nut shell right now.

Opinion Please

In a few short weeks we will have the pleasure of hosting two fine Marines fresh out of basic training for Thanksgiving. I've been racking my brains trying to think of places to go or see while we have them. Not much is open and the beaches are pretty dead.
I was thinking of contacting a few strip clubs to see if they are open and take any one under the age of 21. I'll have singles on hand for lap dances and what every they do.
Do you think this is a good idea?

I LOVE my job !!!!

Tonight I had the pleasure of waiting on nine of New York's finest firemen. Several looked as if they stepped off of one of those beef cake calendars. They have been here to help get the fires under control. Steve joked that they were probably some how related to him when I told him about them.
A guy came in for some food to go. He looked about 6'7 and built like a brick house. I passed him as I went in to the dish room. Joe was hot on my heels and he said "don't get any ideas, he's MINE". I laughed and told him "too late honey, I've already mentally undressed him and though of several different ways to make him my personal play ground".

Disneyland for Schmoops (dogs)

I am "baby sitting" Aussie amd Athena's dogs while they are taking a holiday.
Bitches BETTER bring me mass amounts of guava syrup and chocolate covered mac. nuts!
The "Schmoops" are tibitan spaniels. They are ~~ankel biters~~ small dogs and very ~~codependent~~ loyal dogs.
I sit at the computer table and they both squeeze in underneath.
I take a piss and Winston is howling at the door.
They are definitly personality plus and GP enjoys having the extra warm bodies to play with.
I am personally looking forward to my sweet treats when they come home.
With the weekend I'm having I definilty need some comfort food!

Today had better be a good day damn it!

What a horrible fucking night I had last night. It was my first night out of training and if something could go wrong; it did.
How bad was it?
I left in tears last night. I've been doing this shit since I was 15 years old. I've never left a job that upset. I wasn't the only one that had a bad night too. I seriously checked the phase of the moon to see if it were full shit was that bad at work last night.
I pray to all that is holy that tonight is better.

A Blessed Dia De Los Muertos to you!

My alter was a hit with the neighborhood last night. Familys would come and then come back again with other family members to come check everything out. Dru brought the ashes of her beloved grandmo & her little dog Violet. It was a great time, but next time I'm just sticking with pizza. I missed a lot of the kids because I was cooking paninis' in the kitchen. Afterwards it looked like a bomb went off in my kitchen. Between mixing frosting to decorate skulls with today and all the dishes my kitchen was a mess.

The kids in the Spanish classes had a great time decorating their skulls. They were broken up in to groups of ten and every one got to decorate one. They will be displayed in the library when they put up their little mini alters. I had some kids stop and thank me for making the skulls and bringing in the supplies to decorate. I'll have to get pictures of them, they really turned out great.
