Pulling rank

The C/T scan showed that I DO have an ulcer and some gastro issues as well. The soonest I can get in to see the specialist is on the 17th.
Last night I thought I'd be ok to go in to work. Soon as I put on my work pants (I've been wearing sweat pants lately) and apron the pain started flaring up.
Great.
I was going to suck it up. I need the money and just to get the hell out of the house.
I walk in to find that Cathy took my happy ass off of tonight's shift too.
HUH?
I tried to convince her I was all right; but the fact I was unconsciously rubbing my stomach did not help my cause.
She pulled rank and told me "I don't care if you are older than me. We are at work and you have to listen to me. GO HOME".
So she kicked me out of work. I alredy have tonight off to go to a party so I'm hoping by Monday I can start waiting tables again and not be in pain when I put regular clothes on.
I've got three holiday parties this weekend. Guess what I'll be drinking?
