Whiskey soup3 cloves garlic minced
1 onion chopped
5-8 leeks sliced (white parts only)
1/2 c butter
4 tsp sugar
pepper to taste
1 c. Jameson Irish whiskey
4 c. beef broth
Saute onion, leeks and garlic in butter until translucent.
Add sugar & pepper and cook for a wee bit longer.
Add whiskey and simmer a few minutes.
Add beef broth and simmer for 15 minutes.
You can always add more onion, garlic or leek if you are an onion freak. Just add more butter to cook them.
You can put biscuts on top of the soup. I like to put some Irish cheese on top my self.
Just don't eat this soup and drive some where. If a cop pulls you over he won't believe you when you swear you haven't been drinking.
