No hang overs here!
So in keeping with my resolutions. I went and rode Kirby yesterday. We first started out in the arena to warm up. A woman with her young daughter joined us in the ring. The little girl was on a Shetland pony. Kirby tried getting all goofy over the pony, but I brought his focus back to me. GP on the other hand was terrified of the pony. Every time the pony trotted by where GP was resting on the other side of the fence, he'd move and have a worried expression on his face. I just about fell off of Kirby I was laughing so hard.
Here is the "ferocious dog eating" pony. In GP's defence, the pony was only a few inches taller than him.
And here is a very happy GP to be away from the terrifying pony and out on trail. Kirby on the other hand was a bit of a butt head. As we made our way back to the stables he started up with jiggidy jog and I knew he was going to try and pull something. Sure enough, as we made our way up the little hill, he tried to take the bit in his mouth and take off.
Oh yeah, he was bucking too.
Luckily I had a high port bit in his mouth and a strong seat. I kept him from running off and finally got him calmed down some what. He was still acting all "high" and looking for something to spook at so he could act like an ass. I wasn't having any of that. There was no way in hell that horse was going to throw my ass! Steve would then definitely forbid me to ride again.
Here are some turkey vultures that were hanging out in the trees. My camera sucks, they were really closer then they look. There was a bunch out flying in the sky and hanging out in the trees. Some were even chill'n on the ground giving us the hairy eyeball.
Pudd'n went to my mom's last night and we ended up renting a bunch of movies. It was a nice evening at home and we were in bed by 9:30. I celebrate New Year's on Michigan time. When it is 9pm here, it is 12 am there. I chatted with my family briefly and then went to sleep.
Now I'm off to make a grocery list. I hope every one had a nice evening.
