Like every one else, I want this damn election over with.....
Dru's husband inspired me to thieve some yes on Prop. 8 signs that had been set up here where I live. He had be stealing those signs and throwing them away.Sat. when we left to go take the goldfinch to the bird rescue I had seen the signs that had not been there before. Luckily they were close enough to the street to where all I had to do was lean out the passinger window and snatch them. We were prepared to do the same to the ones on the way in when we got back. But some one had the same sentiment as we do and took them.
I don't care who you vote for as president, but when you try to take away people's basic rights, I'm gonna get a bit peeved.
Some bible thumpers were trying to pass out little orange bibles at Pudd'ns school and to try to sway people to vote yes on 8 (if you vote yes, then gay & lesbian people lose their rights to marriage). I told the guy "no thanks, I don't want to listen to your homophobic rant".
I am happily going to go cast my vote tomorrow. It was not that long ago that women didn't have many rights. Voting was one of them. I am thankful that I live in a great country where I can discuss politics with friends and not be in fear of being thrown in jail for it. I am thankful for the rights and liberties that I have.
Off topic, my manager Barb is on vacation before her last day at work. They have some damn little 20 something nazi working her shifts. I am hoping to all that is holy she won't be replacing Barb on a permanent basis.
This girl did not impress me one bit and I have a feeling we may be butting heads.
Oh hell, screw that. I'd rather play mind games and just keep giving her the death stare and not say a word.
That is more fun.
