Tuesday, April 29, 2008 Go TalkWell I got the first baby steps in the augmentative device for Pudd'n. I'm supposed to share it with the school.Sure fine, what ever, I'm good at sharing my toys. It is a simple device that you put in four separate pictures and record your voice to them. I.E. a picture of McDonalds with the recording of "I want to eat at McDonalds" I am oh so tempted to put in a picture of the "middle finger" with the recording of "fuck you! I don't want to work right now".

A blast from the past. I can't remember the name of this cartoon, but it used to be my favorite. I remember the penguin's name was Opus.I had cut this out and sent it out to my mom when she moved here to the land of fruits & nuts. This depicted her perfectly on how she felt about her daughter the wild child. What did she expect? The acorn does not fall far from the tree.

What do YOU like most?OK, this goes out to any men that may read my daily drivel. I have some questions for you.What do you like most in a woman? What is the first thing you notice? Do you like those skinny, anorexic models or movie stars? Or do you like your women with a little padding? The one thing I've noticed through the years is the 20's something guys (most of them) are very vain and only want the size 2 girlfriend. Am I wrong? I find the older a man gets he is more appreciative of the woman with curves. A girl that enjoys eating and not starving her self while picking at a salad. What brought this on? I was visiting my favorite New Yawk Joo and some holier than thou beotch that has had gastric bypass surgery told Erica to go on a diet. Now I'm not against that surgery. I have two close friends that have had that done. Do you think they say "Hey Maeve, put down the donut" or "Hey Maeve, do you know how many calories are in a glass of whiskey?" (ok, they might not say it because I'd deliver them a beat down. Just kidding) Any way. I guess the convoluted point I'm trying to make is that women are beautiful no matter what the shape or size. And unfortunately is is the small minded minority that dictates that being a size 0-2 is what is beautiful. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go have a glass of whiskey and bask in my glorious plus sized self.

That is the ring tone for my phone and I'm fighting the urge to get up and "asnwer" my phone even though I know it is the back ground music I'm hearing. Speaking of Santana and music, I just got Ulitimate Santana and am in love. I know several of those songs will be going out on my music meme. Aaaand speaking of going out. Sunday, April 27, 2008 Gawd how I HATE the heat.Things are warming up here in sunny So. Ca. today this weekend and I fucking hate it. Yes, I am a freak of nature, I prefer the cold weather. We have to start drawing the shades about noon and turning on the fan. From 4-6pm is the worst because we get the setting sun. Gottdamn is it hot! I have no a/c either. No central air that is. We do have two room a/c that I'm sure Steve will be putting in real soon.Pudd'n managed to catch a viral infection called "5th's". He's got a rash on his face, arms and torso. It does not seem to bother him, he's not scratching and that's good. He is just not supposed to be around pregnant women. No problem right? Wrong. Our weekend helper Jackie is in her first trimester of pregnancy. I frantically called her Friday and told her to turn her car around and don't show up. The agency sent a new girl yesterday named Crystal. Pudd'n seems to like her and she seems like a nice girl. Yesterday was also our community garage sale. We pigged out on home made tamales, burritos, tacos (Steve even had some goat taco) and gordidtas. I love me some Mexican food. There was even a dance group of little girls going around and dancing in full costume. They were collecting donations to help with entry fees for an up coming Cinco de Mayo compitition. They looked so cute and they did a really good job with dancing. Poor things were so hot in those heavy dresses. We gave them some bottled water and I'll post pictures of them later.

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 Better then I expectedPudd'ns IEP went swimmingly.We are getting the augmentative device. It is a small one that uses pictures. Before you know it he will graduate to the big one and will soon be typing out "Gotdamn it" and "Fuck". Yes, mommy shall pay for her potty mouth. Pudd'n had a blast at gym class, I heard him laughing the entire time. I peeked in a few times through the window and he was a running, jumping maniac. His little face was all red and he was definitly sweaty. He is also sleeping through the night in his own bed. We have a twin bed next to our king sized one. Usually about 1 am he crawls in to our bed and hoggs it for the rest of the night. Lately he's been sleeping through the night and not crawling in to ours. Now if we can just get him to stop pissing on his bed life will be great (thank Goddess for water proof matress pads!)

Tuesday, April 22, 2008 Falling off the exersize band wagon.Ugh, I haven't been a good witch and kept up with exercising. Well last week wasn't my fault since I had to rest my knee after falling. I finally got back up on the proverbial horse and got my ass back in gear.Tomorrow is Pudd'ns IEP. It is going to get real interesting folks. And that is it for my little corner of the world.

Appetizers any one?My candle party was a bit of a bust yesterday, sort of. I did manage to get six orders from people that could not make it. The four people that said they were for sure coming? Three out of four flaked and never came. I had four more that said they would try and make it and of course didn't.So now I have all this food & booze and I feel like a loser. *heavy sigh* Oh well. Pudd'n has been doing well with not peeing on any thing all week. Today we are going to meet his new "buddy" at a park to play. A local group pairs up teenagers with kids like Pudd'n as a peer buddy to do things with. I hope all goes well. Now it is time to drag my carcass from the computer and make out a grocery list. Ya'll have a good day.

Thursday, April 17, 2008 T.G.I.T.Yep, thank Goddess it is Thursday.Thursday Pudd'n goes to grandma. Thursday I get to get my freak on! Whoooohooooo! Pudd'n is doing better around the house. He hasn't peed on his bed or in the van in almost a week. He is still undressing in the classroom though. At least he is keeping his underpants on. He had a blast at his gym class last night. It was so good to see him so happy and laughing. I'm busting my butt trying to get something done every day to make my house presentable for the So far I have for sure 4 people coming and 4 catalog orders for those who can't make it. I'll find out tomorrow night if any one else from the restaurant are coming.

Wednesday, April 16, 2008 Snap, crackle, POP!Sat. while doing yard work I managed to slip and fall. My left foot slide through a puddle and I landed on my right knee and manged to wrench my back in the process. I was able to get to the chiropractor on Monday where he popped everything back in to place.Yesterday my back was spasming so bad I had to break out some muscle relaxors. I HATE that shit! It makes me tired and cranky. Today I go in for a massage, I can't wait. This weekend I'm having a Well I guess I'd better get up off my ass and get lunches made. No rest for the wicked.

Monday, April 14, 2008 Are we having fun yet?I was 60 seconds away from getting out of work early tonight when a small rush hit at 8pm. One girl did not show up for her shift and another went home early sick. Kim said she would stay and close up with Adam. But when the rush hit, I knew I had to stay. Damn!Oh well. Today I ran in to one of my students in the hall. She was wearing a very low cut shirt. Me: Um, sugar. Don't you think your shirt is a little low cut? Mary: My shirt is fine. Me: Um, Mary. I can see that you are wearing a lepord printed bra and it clasps in the front. How about I go get a sweater from my van? Mary: No Ms. Maeve! I gave her the hairy eye ball and sent her on her way.

Friday, April 11, 2008 Multi purpose mommyPudd'n and I were rolling around on the bed playing "tickle". As my hands tickled Pudd'n, my feet were dangling off the edge of the bed.They were just the right heigh for GP to use as a butt/back scratcher. I'm so glad I'm useful.

Blah, blah, blahNow I know why I wait 2 years to dust out my china hutch. Gotdamn do I got a lot of shit in there. Everything is clean and sparkly now, it looks very pretty.We took a small detour to get Pudd'n some pizza to take to grandma's and when we got to my mom's we saw that Pudd'n pissed his pants. Another small lake. Fuck me running. When is this going to stop? It is so disheartening for this to be going on. We used to be able to go places and do thing and now we are prisoners of our own home. Sure we bring a chang of clothes, but it gets damn old real quick to be washing piss filled linens and clothes. Pudd'ns IEP is on the 23rd and we get all the results of his tri annual and other testing they have been doing. We've been finally sitting down and watching all the autism programs that we had recorded. It is hard to watch some of the stories. We get so envious that the same methods we tried to ease the symptoms of autism did not work for our son, worked for others. What are we doing wrong?

Serious spring cleaningNow that I have the sitter service in place, I'm finding I'm getting a lot more done with less worry. Today I'll be washing my floors and dusting my house. Hell, I just may get really crazy and dust my china hutch. That is a scary thought.I splurged on some new chair cushions for my patio chairs. I'm not that crazy about them, but the selection is minimal. And that is it in my exciting life.

Yer fucking kidding me right?Alrighty then, the dumb ass that came out yesterday did not fix the problem with the washer. We reschedualed for today 8-12 pm.No one shows. We call. Some one did not show up and they are back logged but some one will be out 4-5 to fix problem. We leave to go talk to the psychology teacher about Pudd'ns up coming tri annual. The "nanny" is here watching Pudd'n. 2:15 the dumb ass repair man comes! The nanny won't let him in because she does not know who he is and did not get any instructions to do so. (I thanked her for this, it shows she's not going to let any one in with out prior knowledge.) I come home to no less than 5 messages on my answering machine saying I have to reschedual. I DON'T THINK SO SLAPPY!~ I finally get some one on the phone and she tries to tell me that they will try to get some one out. I told her oh hell no, you WILL get some one out here today. The repair man will be back out by 5 pm.
