A perfect way to end the day
Yesterday didn't start out too well. Now that beach season is just about over with it is back to finding things to do on weekends with Pudd'n. It is hard with a child that has limited interests in anything. To him a perfect day is watching tv with breaks of tickle and or chase. Pudd'n, GP and I headed down to Sea W.orld. He hasn't been there in a few years and we used to enjoy going.
He was not happy about being there and he sure as hell let every one know about it.
Pudd'n did have about a half hour of fun in the happy harbour part. It is a big play area for kids and has this habit trail thing for kids to climb on, run across and slide down. For a half hour GP and I ran across suspended bridges. You should of seen that dog's body language when he realized this was not a stable walk way. I thne dragged Pudd'n out of happy harbor, we needed to get GP some water. It was hot and we all know GP is not a petite flower. He's just a wee bit chubby.
So for the next two hours straight Pudd'n whined, moaned, hummed, pulled my arm and did his best to find the exit. Mommy did her best to find the beer carts through out Sea W.orld.
For once though we did not get the "stink eye". People saw the dog and the light bulb went on that Pudd'n is not your regular kid. It can be pretty embarassing when your very tall eleven year old is acting like a three year old. I just want to smack the people that look down their noses at us.
Sea W.orld is very service dog friendly. They gave us a collapsable bowl, bandana and poop scoop bags (I already have these).
When we got home I had to take a two hour nap to recover from our little day trip.
But the day ended on a good note. We went to the house of mouse where a kid could be a kid for dinner. Steve and Pudd'n started playing a new "game" with a super ball and the slide on the habit trail. Then Pudd'n ate a good dinner for the first time in days. He was also very affectionate as you can see in the photo. I got several kisses.
