Damn is it Monday already?
It is the last day of freedom before school starts tomorrow. I am looking forward to the young minds I willI heard on the news there was an earthquake out here??
PPPPfffffffftttttttt!
We out ran a tornadeo last week.
Ok, it was several counties over, but it could of came none the less. We had left the pub where the rehersal dinner was. We headed to the food court at the mall because that is all Pudd'n would eat. As we get ready to leave we see that it is raining hard.
The sky is black and lighting is putting on a show. Steve brings the rental car up and I never seen my kid or my dog get in a vehicle so fast in my life. From the 4 feet from the door to the bar to the door of the car, we were soaked.
Steve said he'd just pull up to the front door of the food court and then go wait in the car with the dog. Pudd'n and I high tail it in to the mall and it looked like something from out of Stephen King novel.
No one was there.
Some of the food booths had lights off, but food out. Others still had their lights on. It looked like every one had up and left. I finally found a security guard and he told me we had to go down stairs because a tornadeo was coming.
Riiiiiiiiiiiight..
Hungry autistic kid that hates malls (except food court), stuck in a small space with a bunch of strangers.
We'll take our chances with the tornadeo.
I called Steve and he came up to get us. We ended up getting him to eat some Burger K*ng fries on the way to my evil auntie's.
I had called Spaz to tell her of our adventure and she was detained in a restaurant with some friends for the very same reason. She was a little closer to where several of those suckers did touch down. She said the sky turned an ugly shade of green.
I forgot how much fun tornadeo warnings and sitings could be.
