After Pudd'n got out of summer school I wisked him and the Goat Puppy to the beach for some fun in the surf before I had to go to work.
I have three swim suits and only one was clean. Of course it was the old nasty one that is streched out and looks like shit. What the hell do I care right? I'm not trying to impress any one. I just want to go have fun with my kid & dog.
Believe it or not barflies, I'm getting over my fear of the ocean. The past few times we've gone, I have found myself going in to the surf to ride the waves with Pudd'n. I still skeeve a bit when the sea weed comes near me, but I've found my self wanting to go out more.
So I go wading out while Pudd'n is on his boogie board. GP follows right behind me and trys to hop on Pudd'ns board. Pudd'n wants nothing to do with this because GP weighs so much. So I grab the board and GP hops on.
This delights Pudd'n to no end. So he starts to make his "happy sound"......loudly.
There was a surf camp that was breaking up and people were spying the three of us. They thought it was cute GP was on the board.
Some good sized waves were coming in and I found myself doing these three things:
1. get the hair out of my eyes
2. keep the dog on the board
3. keep the top of my suit from coming off in the surf.
I think a couple beach goers got an eye full at some point.
