posted by Maeve at 7:32 AM Here is another pic from the wild animal park. Last night we had a blast. First to mom's suprise 60th. And what made it nicer was Fucking moron and the kids were their usual self centered, selfish selves and did not show for the party. The food was great and a lot of people showed up. Mom was totally suprised. Mom's friend Karen was in for her yearly out of state trip and she informed us we didn't miss anything over Christmas. In fact, she said putting up with Fucking Moron 2 days in a row was enough. She had also found out that dad's ashes are in the nightstand in her room. Dad wanted to be buried with his beloved dogs. Murphy died almost 2 years ago, but Dukie keeps hanging on. If there was any dog that is ready for a dirt nap, Dukie is it. So we kept cracking jokes how Karen was "sleeping" with dad. After mom's party we went to my candle lady's suprise party. Another great turn out! Some one had gotten her a walker decorated with streamers, bell and place for a small bottle of booze. They also gave her a safty helmet. Mikey was working bar (even on his night off he's mixing drinks) and kareoke was going in the garage. We were out back chatting by the above ground jacuzzi and joking around when one of the candle lady's friends links her arm in mine and said "you look fun & cuddly, lets go in the jacuzzi". We walk up to it and look in when suddenly a fish went swimming by! We squealed and jumped back. Then laughed sheepishly as we realized it wasn't a real fish, but a battery operated one. Damn thing sure looked real! We didn't stay too long at CL's party. It was a long day and we were ready for bed. *wink, wink*

posted by Maeve at 5:54 AM Saturday, December 30, 2006 Morning barflies! This is a raven at the Wild Animal park. How do I know it's a raven? This is not a shot I took with the telescopic mode on my camera. Ravens are MUCH bigger than crows. If it looks like it could fly off with a small dog, you got yourself a raven. I took this beauty's picture at the vulture exhibit. I wonder how Saddam is likeing those toasty flames he's feeling right now? I hope he feels every pain and emotion he inflicted upon his people when he gets to hell.

We have a busy day tomorrow. One of the marines that we adopted our first year for Thanksgiving is coming down for lunch. He's moving this way, so we are going to take him around San Clemente to see if we can find him a place.
Then we have my MIL's suprise 60th b'day party at 3pm and then later on that evening my candle lady is also the recipient of a suprise party. So here I sit with curlers in my hair so I will look fabulouso for both soirees. I had a great ride on Kip this morning, when he wasn't freaking out over his own shadow. Goat Puppy had fun eating every pile of horse manure he could get a hold of. All of my Christmas decorations are down with exception of the ones on my altar. I'm ready for the New Year.

Life is good barflies.
I got my ass on a Kip and had a good ride. Well, until the wind blew a tarp and the noise scared him shitless. You never know what is going to set this horse off. Yesterday I got to have lunch with my bitch Lili. We tried to catch up as best we could with in her lunch hour. I miss seeing that girl! Pudd'n is at grandma land and I'm missing him terribly right now. Yestrday when I went to pick him up after my lunch with Lili, he tried booting me out. He did not want to come home. *heavy sigh* I guess I'd better quit procrastinating. I need to take the ornaments off the tree and get the tree curb side.

posted by Maeve at 7:32 AM Tuesday, December 26, 2006 Look Keesie! I can post pics of lions too! Isn't he a stunning boy? He was enjoying himself in the morning sun. Today we went to the wild animal park. It is a more open and natural habitate. It is 2 times bigger than the zoo if I remember correctly. We always go soon as they open and leave shortly after 12 pm when it gets too crowded. I just love spending time with Pudd'n there.

posted by Maeve at 2:28 PM Let's play! I was worried this would not turn out. The sun was right in my direction. They are remodeling the lion exhibit and the walk through africa exhibit.

Am I ever glad everything is over with!
Well, everything but the clean up. I've eaten too much. I drank even more. And now I am bloated like a beached whale. My fingers look like sausages! Ugh! Today I think I will take Pudd'n to the Wild Animal Park since we just did the zoo on Sat. I always get a giggle when I go there. I walk around enjoying the sights and then it hits me Keesie gets to see all those lovely animals on a daily basis where he lives! In fact, I think I see more animals in his pics than I do in the zoo. Ah well, I think I will go put my china away now.

Everything cooked up really nice and left overs were packaged up and sent home. Now it is just the aftermath of the clean up. Pudd'n was so excited when he realized Grandpa & Grandma were the dinner guests. He hijacked his grandpa and they went in to the bed room to play. After about a half an hour, we told Pudd'n he could open his gifts. Steve got some great photos that I'll have to down load later. Pudd'n went home with my parents and since we had an early dinner; we were able to make it to a friend's open house. We only stayed about an hour. Mikey & his wife had a nice turn out.
Today we'll go get Pudd'n and Babs will come over again for dinner. Only this time I don't think I'll use the china. Guess I'd better make my phone calls back home to wish every one a very merry.

Impressive eh? I absolutely love, love , love me some polar bears! My other nic name for Pudd'n is "bear". To be truthful, I only call him Pudd'n here. I always call him "bear".

posted by Maeve at 7:48 PM Gimee! Gimee! I want I want I want! I want this wolf! *heavy sigh* Since I can't have this beauty (yet) I will be more than happy that Pudd'n is chomping at the bit to open his Xmas gifts. For the first time in a few years, I'm excited for Xmas.
|
posted by Maeve at 7:43 PM Barflies, I visabley drooled when I came upon this gorgeous creature! We were down on a path and I looked up to the road on my left. I saw a wolf. WTF?! I called up to the girl walking this beauty and asked if I could have a photo op. She directed me to an entry way where I could snap away to my heart's content. I wanted sooooooooo badly to reach out and pet this magnificant creature. Hell, I wanted to steal him and bring him home. I WANT. The little golden (hard to imagine Goat puppy is the same breed) is the wolf's friend. They go for walks all the time. Pudd'n wasn't as impressed as I. But then to rock Pudd'ns world you have to have a horse, giraffe or an elephant. His motto is "the bigger the better".

Steve: Maeve, I don't know why you are so freaked out about this Chaplin thing.
Me: I'm freaked out not because of the magazines, I'm freaked out over the emails I sent this man. Steve: emails? Me: yes, emails. I've been forwarding CATFISH'S email pictures and jokes!!!! Steve: OOhhhhhhhhh Catfish's emails! No wonder you are freaking out! For those of you who do not get Cat's emails; they are really good jokes and rauncy, explicit pictures. Excuse me now while I go say a few Hail Mary's.

I swear to all that is holy, this could only happen to ME.
Last month I recieved my new soldier to send goodies too. I rarely if ever, hear from these wonderful people I make up care packages for. It's no problem, well, sorta. I would like to know what they like to personalize the packages. But I digress. I had included my email as always and I was thrilled I got a brief response from my soldier. I told him that I regularly get joke email and other risque type emails if he'd like me to send them to him. He said sure. Now when I'm packing care boxes for male service memeber, they always get FHM and other type of girlie mags like that. I also just sent that "painted ladies" email that Catfish sent out. Today I get an email from my soldier thanking me for my goodies. How is this email signed? HE'S A FUCKING CHAPLIN!!!!! OH MY GOD/DESS! I'M SENDING PORN TO A PRIEST! MY EMAILS HAVE THE SIGNATURE OF "WITCHES, NOT JUST FOR BURNING" on them too!~ My computer table has a nice dent in it from me hitting my head right now.

I've created a monster............
Yesterday Pudd'n wanted to open a present. We complied. It was 3 videos wrapped up together and he was really happy. He trotted off and watched them. Today he wanted to open a gift. We complied. He wasn't that thrilled with the game and wanted to open another gift. Uh oh. Ok, we need to save some presents for the holiday! We are just so excited that he's interested in presents now. I had a great ride on Kip today. He looks like a fat, fuzzy teddy bear with his winter coat. My lunch with Athena was too damn short! An hour was not enough, but she had to go back to work and I had to take Pudd'n for a hair cut. He looks so handsome! Now I've got my special Yule eve incense buring. I'll light my candle and go greet the sunrise tomorrow.

Fuck!
Juan was on the rag again tonight. I hate it when he gets all pissy and tries to take it out on me. You'd think after 5 years of working together, he'd know better than yell at me for no reason. I hate it too when dumb ass customers change their order or forget to request something until last minute. Don't get all pissy with me! I didn't tell them to change their minds! Ack! Looks like Xmas eve I'll be making: Smelts Lobster Scampi Crab cakes Breaded Halibut Potato crusted salmon Yeah. I'll be a busy witch.

Yesterday we went up to Fashion Island to walk around, look at al the plastic people and get some lunch. It's a lovely out door mall and it always is decorated nicely. We can bring the goat too.
It was amazing how many women we saw that had bad face lifts, over dose on botox, trout pout and cheek implants. I saw a toddler walking around in a Juicy couture sweat suit. Ack! Steve and I were amazed. All that money and those women looked like shit. I'm not crazy about my fine lines and sagging boobs; but you know what? They are all mine. They are what gives me character. Sure I color my hair, but at least I know I won't look like Frankenstien's Bride or have a perpetual suprised look on my face all the time. Today we went down to feed the horses. I've got to get back on a horse! I've got to make the time. I miss them so much. Well dinner is ready. Ya'll have a good evening.

Pudd'n got to go sailing again today. That kid was happier than a pig in shit. I'm freaking out (silently to myself) over the 5-6ft waves we encountered. Then while the skipper was unfurling the sails, he hands over the rudder to me.
Bad move slappy. I have no fucking sense of direction and ended up going in circles. It was quiet comical when we got back and he asked me to drive the boat in while he took in the sails. Again, an even worse move. The look of sheer horror on his face when he saw the jetty coming up fast on us was pricless. Any way, dispite the fact I could not steer a boat we had a great morning. In the afternoon it was family Xmas time. It was a blast. The food was to die for and Ken made the most awesome pomagrante martinis. Steve's uncle married a Vietnemse woman. We literally come to blows over this woman's pork fried rice. She uppted the anti and made some ribs to go with the rice. Pudd'n lasted a few hours and was ready to go before the gift opening. As we were loading things up and saying our good byes, Janine grabs my drink and puts it in a to go cup. Realizes that there is not much of it left and orders her husband to make me another. God I love my family.

WhoooooooHooooooooo!
It's Christmas vacation time! Hot damn! The whiskey bottle is cracked open (see Ms. Smarty pants Lili, the bottles did last me more than two days!) I had a beautiful sight from my desk today. The cheer and song girls adopted two Marine families and bought them gifts. That is 20 girls for each family!!! The mound of presents was spectacular! I wish I could be there to see the looks on the children's faces. It definitly won't be a Christmas they will forget. I took Goat Puppy in to my school today. He was the belle of the ball. Every one was lov'n on that dog. Our family Christmas is tomorrow. I'll be bringing my herbed cheese spread and banana rum cake with fresh whipped cream. Since Steve is on call this Xmas eve, we won't be going to his mom's for the traditional Italian fish dinner. So I figured I'd give it a whirl and whip up our own feast. I'm going to make scampi on a bed of linguni, crab cakes and potato crusted salmon. Speaking of cooking, guess I'd better get my ass in the kitchen and start that cake.

Two of my students had their moms make tamales for the party! Honey, I ate SIX of those bad boys! There is nothing like home made tamales! Some of my students gave me little Christmas goodies too! I got a wonderful scented candle, $25 gift certificate to the movies and a little stocking filled with chocolate heaven.

Memorieeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssss in the cobwebs of my miiiiiiiiiind.
Teacher Linda (whom I work for) is now teaching history. She showed a movie called "F.I.S.T" Stallon was in it. It was a movie about a dock worker climbing the corporate ladder to become the leader of the union. At the end of the movie, he gets killed by the mob and you see a bumper sticker on a truck saying "where's Johnny?". It made me flash back to the "where's Jimmy" bumperstickers. Jimmy as in Jimmy Hoffa. I remember the big hoopla about his disapearance. I asked my mom about him and she said "He was a very nice man. Very polite and tipped big". At the time, my mother was a cocktail waitress in Detroit. She had a big clientele and he was among them. This memory also made me flash back to when my Irish gran died. She was a hard and bitter woman. A drunk, a mean drunk to my mom. She never laid a hand on me or said an unkind word. But to my poor mom, well.........we just won't go in to that. Any way. Irish gran was dating a loser just before her death. He tried smacking Irish gran around until my mother found out. She had some one come and "teach him a lesson". He never laid a hand on Irish gran again. Irish gran died young. She died of cancer of the mouth, throat and lungs. This was back in the 70's. Any way, she left a big sum of money to this loser Jack, he promised to put it to my Evil Auntie's collage fund. Of course he did not. He took the money and skipped out here to Calif. I pressed my mom for details and all she would tell me was "she had it taken care of". I have a feeling Jack took a swim with the fishes.

What the hell was up with Blogger comments yesterday? I could not post a comment until late last night. And by then I was too tired to go back to the sites I had already visted during the day.
Today I'll finally get my Xmas cards finished. I figure I'll sit in that nice Irish pub that is near the center where Pudd'n will be getting his therapy today and finish them up. I went to ritual last night. It had to be held at a new location because some hypocritical big wig jerk off at the church freaked out. I just looooooove small closed minds! Any way, we ended up at a beautiful temple in Irivine. I can't wait to go there again. Well, time to get my ass in gear. Catch you all on the flip side.

6 weird things about me.
No one tagged me, but I don't have anything else to write about. So I'll do this. Now it is hard for me to think up 6 things, I am perfect after all! BUH HAHAHAHAHA! I'm sure if you ask my friends, they'll have waaaaaaaay more than 6 wierd things about me that they can spill. 1. I give tarot card readings better if I'm drunk. 2. I never finish my soda unless there is booze in it of course. I also leave cans of soda all over the house. This drives Steve batshit. 3. I will NEVER eat canned or jarred salsa. That shit has to be fresh. I can smell the preservative they use in so called "fresh" salsas, so don't think you can fool me. (think Trader Jorge's or Wild O*ts stuff). 4. The older I get, the more I HATE DRIVING. Short distances, I'm ok. If I'm a passanger I'm ok. Although, driving in Michigan does not bother me for some reason. 5. In my 20's I was on that "Slim Fast" diet. I never made it to the "sensable dinner" because we stopped off for "one" beer after horseback riding. That turned in to several beers and several kamakazi's. Let me remind you.......I HAVE NOT EATEN ALL DAY. Yeah, it was not pretty and I did not drink for 3 years after that night. What got me drinking again? I got married. 6. My "baby" blanket was a queen sized blanket that used to belong to my parents. (they divorced when I was about 18 mths). I slept with that thing well in to my 20's. I finally had to give it up because there was more holes than material left. So there ya have it! Tag, you're it!

posted by Maeve at 4:10 PM Sunday, December 10, 2006 I had a blast last night! Dru needs to change her name to Mrs. Claus because that girl came loaded with goodies for all! This was the cake she brought. Aussie had an orgasm on the spot when she saw it. As a belated birthday/Yule gift she gave Athena the most awesome snow globe of Jack Skelington. Athena has an extensive collection of him and I'm going to have to say it is complete now! I wasn't excited about the up coming holiday until the girls came over last night. I really needed to see them and just have "girlie time". We pigged out on stew, cake, vairous mixed drinks (thanks to Dru) and watched Capt. Jack Sparrow. It was a perfect evening.

MMMMMMMMMM..............Beer.
When I was back home, my step mom turned me on to Blue Moon Belgian White beer. You serve it with a wedge of orange. I don't have the orange, but am enjoying the beer non the less. Some times I really regret moving from Michigan. I miss my friends and I miss (most) of my family. I know I did what was best for me at the time. I know I'm more open minded and I have a good life here. But I often wonder how my life would of turned out had I stayed. Any one else have a "I wonder if" in their lives?

Yeaaaahhhhhhhh that's it baby!
Talk dirty to me! My crack (candle) lady had her bi annual candle & holder sale. Yes, I know I just had a party and earned $200 in free crack....... But this is a sale not to miss. Nothing beats retail therapy. Well......I can think of a few things.......(a good ass slapping, porno, whiskey...etc....)

The short bus at only 3 1/2 years of age has already hit the one hundred thousand miles.
(and you wonder why I hate driving Athena). My vacuum cleaner, that is only just over a year old is ready to crap out on me. We've already replaced the brush on it thanks to Goat Puppy. I love golden retrievers, but they are murder on your vacuum cleaner. Jack had nothing on G.P. when it comes to hair! Next week starts block two of the Tomatis therapy for Pudd'n (oh JOY more driving!). And that's about it for my little exciting world barflies.

Dear Santa,
I've been a very good girl (wink, wink). Do you think you could put this in my stocking this year? http://www.dualdynamicstraining.com/ Yeah, I didn't think so. I'll keep dreaming. Wickedly yours, Maeve

posted by Maeve at 8:42 PM Lucky for these fish, Guy is no where near with a fishing pole! Last night was Steve's company Yule party. It was held at the L.B. Aquarium. I was kind of worried they would not be able to accomodate every one and it would be a disaster like the one year the party was held at the F*x Sports Grill. I told Steve, "if this is a bust like the year before last, we are going next door to Bubba Gump and calling up Athena". Lucky for us (and Athena I'm sure), the aquarium MORE than accomodated us. There were plenty of tables to sit at, the food was to die for and lots of bar stations set up for Ms. Maeve to get whiskey at. Steve and I chose to sit out side and eat under the heat lamps. It was a lot quieter with out the band and we had the buffet table out there literally to ourselves. The bar tender complimented me on my black hair and nice red dress. He wasn't gay, so I think he was fishing for a decent tip. We had a great time and were out of there by 10pm.

Last night as we got our stuff together to go to the party ; Pudd'n kept telling us he wanted to open the gift we had in our hands. Pudd'n has never shown an interest in opening presents before! I guided him to the tree and let him open one of his presents early. Steve and I were so excited, we almost did not want to go to the party.
We had a nice time and it was great to up date every one on Pudd'ns progress. One of the gals I ride with is raising her autistic granddaughter. She's high functioning and is now 16 years old. Last night was the first time she stayed home with out a sitter. I ended up with two beautiful ornaments that were not stolen from me. It was Ashlee's turn to have all of her ornaments "stolen" from her this year. Gail brought the first bottle of Patron (tequlia) and two more followed. All three bottles were empty by the time we left. I took it easy and did not get hammered. The hostess on the other hand........ooooooooo boy! She is going to be hung over this morning. Lori brought Pete to the party this year and Pete was hell bent on getting every one hammered. It was a good time. I can't wait for next year's party.

Yesterday we got our tree, my house smells divine right now. Pudd'n was at grandma's last night, so today was the first time he's seen it. While I was busy getting things done (dogs fed, mail brought in etc...) Pudd'n came up and pointed to the tree. He wanted the lights on. I turned them on and he stood there for a few moments with a sweet smile on his face.
He knows it's Christmas time. |
