It figures, I've got the day off and I can't sleep in!
I've been busy baking and getting the house ready for the Marines I'll be picking up tomorrow (I'll be thinking of you LL as I drive through Pendleton!).
For those of you who don't know, every year we are lucky to "adopt" two Marines from basic training for Thanksgiving day. We stuff them full of food and subject them to our loveable, yet disfunctional family. I've got several batches of cookies baked and I'll be making a spice cake too. I also picked ups steaks to grill for later on. We always do Thanksgiving lunch at Tivoli. I want to make sure these guys are full when they go back to base.
Steve got the dogs washed yesterday and I'll be brushing the goat puppy again. I've never had a dog that sheds so damn much! We'll be keeping lint rollers on hand so the guys will not have dog hair all over their uniform.
We've started Pudd'n on a new detox for heavy metals program. So far so good. No behavioral issues yet. It is still a bitch getting him to take it, he's got such a gag reflex.
