What a difference a weekend makes.
Remember last weekend with the horrible experience at the shoe store?
Old biddy saying in front of me "makes you grateful you have normal kids"
Yeah that one.
Well we figured we'd try going out for breakfast today. Going to
any type of eating establishment is highly stressfull for us. Will Pudd'n behave? Will he eat? Will he behavior vomit?
The place we went to today served breakfast and lunch all day, so we knew we could order a few things for Pudd'n to choose from. We've only been to this place one other time before.
Pudd'n walks right up. No fussing.
We get in and order. He's an angel.
Granted he's "stemming" a little, it's keeping him calm.
I went over to fill our sodas and the little old lady that took our order came over to fill the straws (that were beyond full mind you).
She remarked : oh, do you practice writing on that tablet?
(I had one of Pudd'ns write on wipe off toys)
Me: yes
Lady: What a beautiflu son you have, he's really handsome.
Me: thank you, he is the light of my life.
From there we had a splendid breakfast. Pudd'n ate his pancakes and my french fries. When he was done, he and I waited out front for Steve so we would not have to worry about the vomit situation. Steve finished his breakfast quickly and we were on our merry way.
We were as close to "normal" as we'll ever get while eating out.
