A BLESSED LUGHNASADH TO YOU ALL.
Lughnasadh is traditionally a harvest festival celebrating the ripening of grain and the first fruits of the harvest. It is named after Lugh, one of the heroes appearing in early Irish literature.
Lughnasadh was also known as Lammas (Llamas) from the Saxon word Half-mass, the Feast of Bread. Festivities and rituals typically centered around the assurance of bountiful harvest season and celebrating the harvest cycle.
