With FRIENDS like YOU, who needs enemies???

Last night after all the festivities at the beach were over, the carne asada consumed and many beer had been drunk. I was sitting on the couch watching t.v. with Dru, Bables and Athena. At one point Dru said "better bring speedy in for the night" (steve was putting pudd'n to bed). So with great effort and a lot of help from Dru & Bables, I get up off the couch. Not because I was so blind stinking drunk mind you, my body hurt from head to toe from playing in the surf that day. I begin to hobble to the door and Miss smarty pants Dru calls out "Sanctuary! Sancutary" ( we had just got done watching a comedian do a skit on the hunch back of Notre Dame). I flip her the bird and hobble out to the back yard. I can hear their cackeling laughter as I walk to the back of the house to get speedy out of the pool. When I get back in, Dru & Bables have the decorative couch pillows stuffed up the back of their shirts to make it look like they have hunch backs. I'm lucky I did not A) Drop the turtle and B) piss all over myself I was laughing so damn hard. Is this the thanks I get for my drunken tarot card readings I gave them after dinner? (By the way, MUCH thanks goes out to my awesome hubby for not only cooking dinner, he did the clean up too).
We had a great day on the beach. It got off to a shakey start when I found a USED Q-tip in my son's order of french fries. It looked like it was used to clean an item, not an ear. The manager treated me like I had done it myself. He gave me my money back and I left. I will not go to that B.K again. Our next stop was the grocery store to pick up many snacks and beer to wash them down with. Athena bought me a bottle of whiskey, I was pretty shaken up about the Q-tip insident. She said "I want you to be CALM, it is going to be a FUN day!". And off we went to Aunt Selma's. We set up camp on the beach and Pudd'n & the goat made a bee line for the ocean. I brought my cauldron to burn a few things to release some spells I did. Dru & Athena supplied my pyro technicks (sp?) with the inserts from the magazines they bought. Lili and her crew showed up a short time later and we spent the rest of the day catching up and drinking many beer. At one point I asked Lili's oldest son to go mix me a drink (he's 14), "what am I? Your slave?" he quipped, I told him "yes and to hop to it!". He laughed and brought us all our round of drinks. Damn! Can that kid mix a drink!! Then we proceeded to make Lili turn red, it appears her son found grandpa's porno stash at home. "No wonder he likes to go to his grandparents!" she cried. We spent a total of 5 hours on the beach. I got knocked around in the surf pretty good. My body hurts and I have a few scratches on my legs. It was great to watch C's son Je play with pudd'n. They were laughing and having a great time. I know photos were taken, of what, I can't tell you........not because I don't want to. I just can't remember! So we'll have to wait and see, Athena & Dru had the cameras.
It was a great day, spent with some great friends. Thanks girls!
