Last month was Autism awareness month. You might of seen more news articles or new programs speaking up about this disorder.
Much thanks goes to Sandy's friend Mark, he and 817 other bikers got together to raise money and awareness for this disorder that strikes 1 in every 166 children EVERY DAY.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart Mark. It means so much to me that you took time out of your day to do this for parents like me. Some day soon we WILL find a cure and beat this.
On the 22nd of this month, CNN will be featuring a show called "Autism is a word". It was written by a woman with autism. She was non verbal for most of her life. Watch it, you will get an idea of what our lives are like and how Autism affects families.
