Our local paper had a little blurb in the metro section on a group of people trying to raise enough money to buy 500 turkeys & pies for the famlies of men that are over seas at our local marine base. My local grocery store is having a promotion, buy X amount of $$ in groceries and get a free turkey. I called the "friends of the marines" and they said they'd be happy to take my turkey and any other food I want to donate. Could I please bring it down the day they hand out the other food? Hell yes!!! Men in uniform! Lots of men in uniform! *wiping drool from mouth*. Heh heh heh.........I'm sure I'll be oh so attractive to them too, I'll be dropping the food off after horseback riding. For those of you who are not used to horses.......I'll be smelly & dirty. Very smelly & dirty.
I'm feeling a little better today. My throat does not hurt as bad, my chest still feels heavy though. I had a killer headache most of the day. I took pudd'n & the dogs to the park this afternoon. It was so warm out, we wore shorts! I brused the dogs while he played. We then went for some pizza afterwards.
Next week I'll be going home for 4 days. I can't wait!!! I just hope I can get in all the visiting I need to do. In Jan, it looks like I'll be going to Cancun with Spaz. She offered to pay my way, she's kind of going through a mid life crisis and her husband figures a vacation is in order for her. I'm suppose to be going along to make sure she behaves herself.......ROFLMAO!!! Yeah, just ask the fox to watch the hen house while you are at it eh? But seriously, I am worried about her. She's been having some pretty bad depression lately, her own mom killed herself she was so depressed. So we all have reason to worry.
We'll be staying at an all inclusive resort. Which means I get all the mexican food & BOOZE to my heart's content!!!! I hope this place has horseback riding, then I'll really be in heaven!
