I took Jack into the vet today. He managed to damage a toe nail. I've been with this vet for 11 years now, he's really a nice guy. He's married with 4 kids and a plethora of animals. This is how my visit went:

Me: Dr. A, how does your wife do it? You have 4 kids, I've only got 3 and am going crazy.

Dr. A: yes, it does get a bit hectic.

Me:(leaning in closer) Does she drink a lot too?

Dr. A,(laughing), yes, we usually share a bottle of wine at the end of the day.

Me: Only a bottle? Damn! I'm on 2 bottles a night!

He then asks what kind of meds the specialist has Jack on, I had grabbed the bottles and put them in my purse. With out looking I just grabbed the first one and handed it to him. He looked at me puzzled and said "you have Jack on Xanx?". Oops! Uh, no, that's mine. It goes great with those 2 bottles of wine a night.
We actually got out of the vet for under $90.00. That's okay because the tune up & brake job on the corolla was $400. Yeah, we are not getting any type of breaks at this point in our life.
