	 If you can help out

A little over two years ago I had the pleasure of meeting a fellow blogger. She and two of her children flew in from the great white north to attend a CHARGE conference. We had a great time and sadly it was too short. Lisa is my hero; her daughter was born differently and Lisa has done every thing she could to make Kennedy's life as normal as possible. I loved hearing the story how the doctor told Lisa that her daughter would not speak, be deaf, probably blind and learning impared. I'm happy to say that Lisa and Kennedy proved that doctor wrong. It has been a pleasure to watch Kennedy grow and change over these two short years in to a lovely young lady that is active in her community. Kennedy was also the only child in her providence with CHARGE. Lisa has done so much to raise awareness about this disorder. So if you can, please donate. As many of you know, in 1998, Kennedy was born with a rare congenital disorder called CHARGE syndrome. Since very early on and to this day, the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation has become a very important part of our lives. I don't do this type of thing very often but would ask if you would consider helping Team Weir support this wonderful, caring organization.
Babies born with CHARGE suffer life-threatening birth defects. Despite hearing loss, vision loss, balance problems and a host of other serious medical problems, many of these children overcome insurmountable challenges to far surpass expectations. Thanks to the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation, individuals with CHARGE syndrome and their families have a place to turn for information, research, support and hope. Attendance at one of our biennial conferences is a life-changing event: an opportunity to meet with other families and professional experts.

To those of you who supported the Weir team last year, thank you so much. Every dollar counts, so no donation is too small. We came up short of our goal by a small margin last year and we really appreciate the support as we strive to reach our goal this year.

Click on this link to visit the Weir team page to make a donation, become a fundraiser or simply to learn more about the Foundation. Your gift will make a difference in the lives of individuals with CHARGE syndrome!

 Thank you so much,

 Kennedy, Graeme & Lisa Weir
