I served shrimp to Peter Brady!!!

Last night's catering event turned out to be a blast. Still a shit load of work for not much money IMO. I can make more money as a waitress in 4 hrs with a lot less work.

Any way.

This is a crappy cell phone picture of Richie Sambora. I was trying not to look like a star struck geek in a crowd of servers waiting to take food out. I found out that a whole host of celebs were going to be there. Florance Henderson, Valarie Bertanelli........

I ended up serving finger food to Donna Mills, Adrian Curry & Chris Knight.

I served shrimp to Peter Brady!!!!!

I also saw Angela Baset with a group of her gorgeous actress friends.

I think I'll keep this "on call" gig. I can't wait to find out who I'll be serving next year's event.

Exhausted

Any one get the number of the truck that ran over my sorry ass? Lordy am I exhausted.
Tomorrow is our last day at "Lindaland", they will be back from vacation. Every morning we've been going to the pool for a few hours, coming home for dinner and going back for more.
Today I received a some sad news from my dad. After 30+ years he and my step mom are going to have to walk away from there home. They can no longer afford it. Part of their financial problems is that they are helping out my sister & niece because my sister married a piece of shit that does not support them. The dipwad she married is working under the table to pay child support for his first kid. Do you think she's getting any support? No.
Ass hole.
He claims he can't find a job up north, so he came back down to the big D to go work for an old boss. If you don't pay child support in MI they will throw your ass in jail. So he's bunking with a cousin and paying for one kid and my sister is barely getting any thing. She's going to school to get a nursing degree because she could not get a job with her first degree as a civil engineer.
So the 'rents will move up to the U.P. to be with my siblings.
I'm sad we are losing my childhood home.

Triple digits & fire bugs

Ugh, I hate and loathe heat. It is going to be another miserable day and of course the fire bugs love this shit.
Animal control came and got that poor dove yesterday. I know they probably put it to sleep. it had a nickel sized hole in the wing and the wing was useless.
Off to P/T.
I just want to sleep.

Stooopid children or parents that have not done their job?

Yesterday as Pudd'n & I were leaving Linda's I noticed two young girls hitch hiking on the side of the road.
Girls that were no older than Pudd'n (13) if even that.
I just could not believe it! Did their parents not warn them not to do something as stupid as that? Or are those girls really that dumb? I did my best to take mental note of what they looked like and I called the police. I hope to all that is holy that a cop would get to them in time and give them a lecture.
Last night while Steve was watering the yard he came across a dove with a broken wing. He put him in a box and began a game of phone tag to see who he could turn this poor thing over to. I called the bird sanctuary were we took the injured finch to last year. Turns out she is pretty full and gave me a number to try. I put some food, water and a towel in the box to keep it comfortable last night. Now to see if I can find some one to take it today.

Pudd'n & I have been having a lot of fun at Linda's place. I'm a bit water logged, but at least Pudd'n is having fun. We are even going back in the evening for him to get a few more hours in.

My friend K had a party yesterday that we went to. When she had told me about it she told me to "bring my cards".
Now I don't mind doing tarot readings, but it helps if I'm in the mood to do them. And it really helps if you ask and not demand that I bring them.
I knew what was going to happen. She was going to tell every one at the party that I had brought them and then they too would want readings. Sure enough, I was right. I ended up not giving readings to any one. I'm sure you all know from my constant whining that I'm having back problems (yes she knows this but it does not seem to register) and sitting for a long time doing card readings is not my idea of fun. You want to pay me? Maybe.
I brought my cards in the hopes that we'd just go off and I'd do a private reading. But that was not to be so I just scrapped the whole thing. We didn't stay long and she kept asking for a quick reading before I left.
That is another thing that bugs me. When I say no, I mean it.
Don't keep asking me. If I tell you I'm tired and in pain and I don't want to come over/do something then quit fucking whining at me to do it.
I had spent the entire weekend playing in my friend's pool with Pudd'n. Linda is out of town so we get to have seven days of fun in her pool. I was fried by the time I got to K's house and just wanted to relax. I wasn't in the mood to entertain any one else. Especially since K never seems to take my advice with or with out the cards. Ugh.

Why bother??

I'm sitting here listening to my neighbor cut & trim his weed filled yard. There is NO grass left what so ever. Apparently they don't know that you need to use fertilizer & weed killer.
Oh yeah, watering your lawn helps too.
I wish we could afford that fake grass stuff. I'm sick of trying to make my lawn look nice just so the neighbor's dogs can come over and kill it with their piss.
Our new washing machine is here and now I get to face the mountain of laundry we have in the garage.

Hump day

I swear to all that is holy I'm no longer playing hide the sausage until my back it 100% better. P/T Dr. has a death wish, he actually made the comment "Oh you like the Redwings? They really choked during the cup didn't they?".
I calmly told the Dr. that he was in arms reach of a real nasty pinch. It didn't help either that he was hitting the sore spots. At least now he knows the subtle cues of me getting ready to grab his fingers & twist them.
Steve got called out on a fiber cut yesterday and didn't get home until late. Hopefully tonight we will pull the trigger on getting a new washing machine. Turns out there is a law suit over this machine because it breaks after 4-5 yrs.
So much for a name brand appliance. They sure as hell don't build anything to last any more.

Double Blah!

My washing machine just crapped out on me.
My back is killing me from playing hide the sausage last night.
The beach is out for today.
I am not in the mood to schelp all that crap to the beach only to come home with wet towels I can't wash.

So I went down to reapply yesterday and the damn place didn't have any applications. I don't know if they did this on purpose as in "if you are really serious about working here you will take the time to go home, up load an app and come back" or if they are just too fucking lazy to keep shit stocked up. I mean come on now. You advertised on craig's list for fucks sake! You are going to get bombarded with applicants!
Gah!
Pudd'n & I had a nice time at the beach yesterday. We will probably go there again today. Tomorrow is P/T for more contortion fun! Whoohooo!

You've got to be fucking kidding me!!??!!

Earlier this year I went on an open interview for a new place opening by my house. I waited 4 1/2 hrs (while coming down with a cold) and went through all three interviewers. By the time I got to the head honcho and aced the interview with him I thought for sure I was going to get hired. Well, I was hopeful any way because like the guy before him, he gave me a look of "I'm looking for some one younger". Mr. Big told me that even if they didn't hire me now, they'd keep my resume on file in for later on down the line if no some one did not work out.
Guess what I see on Craig's list today?
A fucking ad that the same gotdamn bar is hiring again.
I am so pissed off right now. They could of had an excellent server all this time and I could of had built up a good clientele and had a job.
Question is, do I swallow my pride and go back to and reapply?

Happy Friday

This morning I woke up and was pretty sore from yesterday's P/T and was tired. I had slept like crap the night before.
I didn't have it in me to schlep a bunch of beach crap, take a long ass walk to our spot and have to worry about the beach filled with rocks. I called my mom and asked if I could drop off Pudd'n early today. She told me no problem and I figured that I would take Pudd'n to the house of mouse for some nasty pizza that he likes to eat.
We get there and I place my order and we go sit down to wait. Pudd'n really isn't in to playing the games so I just put the tokens in my purse to send to my niece at a later date. I noticed that there was a large group of differently abled children there. It was a summer camp for special needs kids. After about waiting 25 min with no pizza in sight I sought out a manager.
MNGR: Oh no! We have no one in the back right now to make pizza.
Me: (fixing manager with the same look on the above cat's face) So you mean I've been waiting 25 min for nothing??
MNGR: Let me give you a refund and I'll go make the pizza myself.
She apologised profusely and when the pizza came it was loaded with pepperoni. Best looking pizza we've had yet.
Pudd'n gobbled it up and we made our way to grandmaland.
I came home and took a 2 hr nap.

Okaaaayyyy

I went to P/T today and can really feel a difference. I have not moved this easily in a long ass time! It was the first time I was to work out and then go in for the electrode stuff to loosen the spasms. The kid that was helping me was amazed at how strong my legs are. I've been riding horse all my life, of course I have strong legs. Don't ever let me get you in a scissor hold; you'll be fucked.
When I went in to the room for the electrodes the Dr. remarked that the combination of my first name with my last sounds like it belongs to an actress.
Or a porn star.

Day after hump day

I harvested my sunflower yesterday. Now to pull the seeds off. Does any one want any? The sunflower got to be bigger than a dinner plate and I have a pluthera of seeds. This is my 4th generation plant. Now If I only had Guy's green thumb and space I'd be having me a yummy veggie garden.
I go to P/T today and I'll bring a towel. Thanks for the head's up Rayanne.
I think I'll make some spaghetti sauce for the weekend.
Yesterday I was able to go on the elliptical for 40 min.
That is the excitement of my world folks.......

Evalutation

Today I finally got to go in for my long awaited evaluation for physical therapy.
I tried not to laugh manically when the nice Dr. asked me to bend to touch my toes. Dude, I'm lucky enough to tie my shoes and that requires some contortions to do it.
But hey, my hand reflex's are really, really good when you hit the sore spot in my back. I don't think the nice Dr. knew what hit him as I grabbed his fingers and twisted them. Sorry! Natural reflex!
The filter on my mouth was working pretty good. No F bombs, but a few Gotdamn its slipped out as he tested the strength & range of my right leg.
At one point a co worker came in and through my haze of pain I could have swore that I was hearing the Dr. in stereo. Turns out his identical twin works there too. I was relieved, I thought I was losing it.
So now I get to go to therapy 2x a week, do exercises at home and sit on funky pillows.
Gah!

Back in my 20's when I first started dating Steve I just had basic t.v. I did not want cable with all those channels. I could not afford it (between rent & owning a horse I did not have much extra$$). It would drive him nuts when he'd come to my place and I only had 13 channels.
Fast forward to now.
Steve works for the cable co, so we get all the channels for a decent price. Friday night our cable box started doing some hinky shit and no amount of rebooting it was going to fix it. So before I went to go paint at Cora's I turned in our old box for a new one.
Guess what the new one is doing?
Same shit as the old one and we can't get a tech out until Tues.
Guess what channels I have my favorite programs on?
Yeah, the premium ones!!! Lucky for me Pudd'n is at Grandma's tonight so I can use his tv because there is no way in hell I'm missing True Blood.

Will work for whiskey

Yesterday Cathy & I drove up to help Mike paint the new home that he & Dru just bought. Dru is not allowed around the paint fumes due to her pregnancy.
Their new house is gorgeous and huge! We did our best to put a big enough dent in to getting stuff done. I felt bad for Mike having to listen to Me & Cathy cackle like hens as we amused ourselves while painting. Dru had asked what we wanted in the way of adult beverages for when we did paint. I told her water would be fine. But when I opened the cooler I found all sorts of beer, whiskey & vodka.
And some nice big gallon jugs of water.
I can't wait for the house warming party to see everything done. Lord knows Dru has more than enough partay lyte products to fill ever room in her house since she's been stock piling the stuff for years.

At least I had some witchy fun with Athena today.

Are you sure it is not Monday???

Pudd'n & SLH woke us up at 4 am today. SLH wanted to lay with us on the bed and Pudd'n wanted him no where near the bed. So Pudd'n shoved the cat off. The cat, trying not to get shoved off dug his claws in to the bed. Only problem was it wasn't the bed he had.
It was Steve's big toe.
So since we were all up now I figured I could get some house work done before Athena came over to play. I remembered that my tire sensor came on yesterday as I was driving home. Steve went out to the garage to see what tire may have a nail in it. Turns out it was not that hard to figure out. My left driver's side tire was flat as a pancake. I got AAA out by 6:30 to change it and I was out the door by 7:00 to drop Pudd'n off at Grandma's. I made it to be first in line at 8:00 when the tire store opened up. Turns out I need 4 new tires! Mine were 2 years old and just about had it. So while they did an alignment and slap some new tires on I walked GP to the neighboring mall to have breakfast.
I sat on the patio and figured I'd make the best of it.
I ordered a veggie omelet and asked for everything to be cooked well. I don't like runny eggs or hard veggies in my omelet.
Guess what I got?
A runny omelet and veggies that were not cooked. I figured I'd just eat the fruit & muffin. Sad to say, but the fruit tasted like onions; I ate them any way I was hungry. When the waiter finally showed up with the bill and asked how everything was I told him crappy. He got the manager and the manager offered to comp the meal. I offered to pay for the fruit & muffin since I did eat them. He said it would not be necessary. I tipped the waiter & left.
Oh yeah, Aunt Flo came while I was eating breakfast.

ROFLMAO!

Steve & I went to the dollar store so I could get some new candle holders. As we were waiting for our turn to pay the cashier saw my pentagram and asked if I were Wiccan. I said "yes I am" and the lady that just got done paying for her purchases and was waiting while the cashier bagged her goodies whipped her head around and started giving me the stink eye. I was doing my best not to just burst out laughing. You could tell she wanted to start thumping her bible at me. She was staring at me so hard with and had such a nasty look on her face I was tempted to wiggle my fingers at her and yell "boogiedy boogiedy" just to fuck with her.

Monday blahs.

Meh, Monday is like every other day for me right now. I managed to drag my damaged carcass on the elliptical for 30 min today. Next Monday I get my evaluation for physical therapy. It can't get here fast enough.
I applied on line for one of those big do it your self chains via the internet. They asked every thing but "how many times a day do you take a crap?".
I wanted to take Pudd'n to the beach today but did not have it in me. Sat I slipped and fell on my friend's tiled floor. All my fault, my feet were not dry enough. At least I landed on my hands & knees. Sort of.
I've gotten a good chunk of my house work done. I'd do something, take a break, do something, play with Pudd'n.
I'm ready for a nap now.
