If you bring the dog........they will come.
Yesterday was gorgeous out and we went to the beach. The water was perfect too. As I was sitting with GP under the shade of an umbrella, a couple walked by with their two dogs. The man jokingly said to me "hey! no dogs allowed on the beach". We laughed and they went on their merry way.
About an hour & a half in to our nice day animal control showed up! Looks like the snobs at shitcliffs finally made good on their threats.
What ever.
I showed the nice man GP's vest, card, dog tags and when he tried to say shitcliffs had a private beach I educated him on that too. He ended up writing up a warning about GP not being on leash. Yes, the dog can come to the beach since he is a service dog, but he can't be off leash. So I guess I'll go buy a collar & leash just for the beach. Mr. Animal control said a ticket would be $271 if he saw GP off leash again. We apologised for that. We honestly never took in to consideration that GP had to be on leash at the beach. He is every where else.
After writing us our warning Mr. animal control went down the beach to the couple that we had seen earlier. The lady that was laying near us asked what happened. She was pretty disgusted that we have been getting harassed by the people at shitcliffs & what not. She said she's been watching Pudd'n & GP play on the beach for several years now.
So now I will just make sure that GP stays on leash and I shall thumb my nose at the people of shitcliffs.
