As I got dressed today, I noticed that "the girls" were slightly pink. I got sun burned on my ta tas yesterday! I hope Dru had more common sense than I did and put sun screen on hers. That girl's boobs were out there yesterday.
It was great fun at the Renn. fair. I love to see every one dressed up.

What a blast we had.

Hell, what a weekend I've had.

Friday my friend Venus was in town from AZ. She came over for dinner and we caught up on stuff.

Sat was the community garage sale and we got rid of a lot of shit we no longer needed.

Babs came over with some whiskey and that made things more fun.

Steve and I got to the Renn fair shortly after they opened. Dru & M were not far behind us. Lili and C showed up shortly before we left.

There was a lot of great costumes, but not enough hot men in kilts to satisfy me.

Well if I thought Slappy was pissed last week, I'm sure he's going to have a coronary tonight. Yep, Steve is working some O/T today. Oh well, at least I was able to call a few hours ahead of time as opposed to the 10 minutes before I'm supposed to be on the floor like last week.
This weekend is the community garage sale on Sat and on Sun we head up to the Renaissance pleasure fair.
No rest for the wicked.

Today as I passed out papers in class one of my students said:
"You look tired Ms. Maeve"
I had to make sure the filter on my potty mouth was firmly in place. In stead of saying:
"Oh man! Am I ever hung over! What a great time I had!!"
I said:
"Sure am Ben, wish I could take a nap right now".

The party was a success. Every one seemed to have a great time. After most of the guest left, I did druken tarot card reading for my bitches & ho's.
The weather was perfect, a wee bit cloudy. My yard looked fabulous and I only hyperventilated a bit when I didn't think I made enough food. I probably could of had one more dish out of something.
My mom had came to pick up Pudd'n and boy was he happy. That is such a treat for him when they pick him up.

Oh. My. God.
I am so damn tired!
I started out the morning by going out to pick up some free mulch and then by the home improvement store to get decorative bark. The back yard was in much need of some TLC.
After the yard work and feeding my child, we went to the do it yourself dog wash place. On the way there, I spied some firemen asking for donations for Jerry's kids.
MMMMMMM firemen!
Unlike QofD, I did not have a camera handy to snap off photos of those hotties.
I thought of several pick up lines to deliever to the firemen until I realized what I looked (and smelled) like.
Kid in tow, half wet dog in car and I myself look like something the cat dragged in.
Yeah, I would not be making any sexual innundos.
My cup cakes and the deviled eggs are made. I still need to brush the dog.
I can't wait to get to bed.

The weekend could not get here fast enough. I'm really looking foward to the candle party on Sunday. I'm making:

And of course margaritas.

I had a lovely chat on line with Sheri (farm wife) yesterday and today I got to hear the lovely voice of Catfish. I even got Pudd'n to say "hi" to Cat.
Now I get to go for a much needed and deserved massage.

Well that was a waste of make up!

Slappy #2 is not too happy with me right now. Steve is on call this week and as I was getting on my shoes & apron Steve's work cell phone rang.
He had to go out on a call.
I had to call in at work and let them know my happy ass wasn't coming in.
I can just hear Slappy #2 right now bitching at what a cunt I am for not coming in; and yes, he will use that word.
Steve said "fuck them", he's going to make more in his 3 hour min. that I would of all night any way.
So here I sit, all purdy'd up waiting for the pizza guy. My boys usually go to work with me for dinner on Tues.

I am the oldest of 4 kids.
There is a difference of 14 and 15 years between me and my youngest siblings. There for I was always the instant baby sitter when my dad & his wife had to work. Travis over at How to Kill People is graciously watching his younger siblings so their father can take a much needed vacation.
I think Travis should start a day care program.

Are we having fun yet?
Pudd'n is a growing boy. He needed new clothes for the summer. As I took out his "old" underpants out of his drawer I had a flash back to when I was a little girl.
My grandparents of course grew up in the age where you used everything until it fell completely beyond repair.
She used to use grandpa's old underpants as cleaning rags.
This grossed me out to no living end.
Yes, she washed them before they became rags and she never kept any that had skid marks in them.
It still skeeved me out.
I would tell her "I am NOT touching those things! They touched grandpa's butt!"

OMG I so freak'n tired!
The first day back after vacation is always the hardest.
I had a dream and my four Junior girls were in it. The dream took place in a bar and I was threatening off the letcherous men that were lusting after "my" girls.
I told the girls about it and Leanne said "When I turn 21, I want to go out and have a drink with you". I laughed and told her I'd buy her one for her birthday.
My candle party is this weekend and I'm looking forward to some fun. My bathroom is 95% complete now. It just needs the base boards and towel rack hung up.

We made it down to the beach today for a while. Water was freezing cold, but Pudd'n had fun playing along the shore line.
Our bathroom is 85% done now. We just have to get the vanity put in, base boards put on and a few things hung up. I am so pleased with the results. When we first moved in every thing was white. Walls, floor, vanity and there were mirrors every where. I don't know what the hell the previous owners were thinking when they put that shit up.

It is so nice to have Pudd'n home. I picked him up early from my mom's. I missed him so much! The house is too quiet with out him. Here is the archive link to my interview. The first 12 minutes is Amber chatting about Catalina. The rest is my interview.

Well thanks to Sheri, I was able to hear my interview. I don't know what the hell was up, but no matter what I clicked on yesterday did not get me the desired results that I got today when she provided the link. She is right, listening to the first 15 min is kind of boring until they get to my interview of course! LOL!
Our bathroom is 50% done. Of course the paint I wanted takes 3 steps for the desired finish. I won't be able to finish it until Sun when Pudd'n goes back to my mom's house. The new floor looks fantastic and the vanity will be put in this week.
Now what the heck to do with Pudd'n the next two days. He's bored, but unwilling to go out and do things. All he wants to do is stay home and be tickled. Hopefully it will warm up and maybe we can try the beach. I don't know how the water will be, but at least it will be something different.
Poor Steve is so sick. He had a hard time falling asleep last night and this week he is "on call". Not something you want to do while sick, but he has no choice.

Why is my husband so Goddamn pig headed?
I took Pudd'n out tonight to visit our friend Rita and then over to my mom's to stay the night.
The whole purpose of that?
So that Steve could relax and get to bed early.
He's got the same gotdamn cold that Pudd'n and I had. I got home at 9 pm and guess who I found still up? Not only up, but did a shit load of house work that could of waited until tomorrow!
Guess who is shivering under several layers of blankets now?
Pain in my ass.
He never listens.

It seems that the war has claimed another victim.
3 years ago one of Steve's coworkers had lost his son in the war. K was a broken man after that. He never recovered from the death of his son. K was found 2 weeks ago dead in his son's bed with his will and other legal things in order next to him.
Poor Steve has finally caught the bug that is going around. He is a freak of nature, he never gets sick. I hope he does not get it as bad as Pudd'n and I had it. Steve goes on call this weekend and that is the last thing he needs.
The weather is crappy yet again, so it looks like we won't be able to go swimming in Linda's pool.

Today capped off a great weekend of food, family and friends. I met Lili at a darling Irish pub near her work. The food was fabulous and it was much nicer and quieter than CPK where we usually go.
The bathroom is torn apart. The plumber will be here Wed. and the floor gets laid on Thurs. I'll paint Thurs & Fri. By Fri/Sat, I'll have a beautiful new bathroom that does not smell like a Tia Juana truck stop. Next is Pudd'ns room to clean out his closet and get things in order. Then I'm repainting the kitchen.
And yes Chickie, I'm getting all this stuff done in preperation for your visit. It is stuff that needed to have been done a long time ago. Now I just have to stress about what fabulous food I will feed your clan.
All in all, it has been a pretty good Easter Vac. so far. It would be even better if I could get my ass on a horse. But with my neck still freshly out of whack, even I know that is a bad idea.

OMG! I ate my self in to a food coma! Holy shit am I stuffed!!!
I could not get home fast enough and in to my pajamas and pass out in bed. They had a bartender that poured my drinks just the way I like them. As I was getting my drink my MIL was walking by and made a smart ass comment. I gave her a "yes mother" smarmy response and the bartender said " Your mom? Here have a little more." I laughed and said "that was my MIL". The bartender proceeded to pour even more whiskey in my glass.
We did not win any thing in the silent auction which was a bummer. They had some nice dog stuff filled baskets.
Now it is all about relaxing.

What a blast we had yesterday at Sandy's house. More than half the family did not show up due to illness, travel plans and who knows what else. Since there was no small children, just Pudd'n & Sandy's two teens; we did not plan on an easter egg hunt. Well Aunt Selma was having none of that! Sandy and I went to go hide 4 egss.
Aunt Selma, JB and the two teens raced around the yard to find them.
JB and Aunt Selma were drunk, so that made it even funnier. The food was fabulous and the laughter plenty. When we got there, I noticed that Sandy had made my favorite pasta salad of hers. When she told me that JB made it, I said "Meh, never mind. I didn't want it that bad". I did take some, I just love bagging on JB.
Today we do brunch with more family and friends. It is a great weekend so far.

This morning just as I was about ready to leave I get a phone call from Aussie. She and her mum (who is visiting) are coming down this way to vist our beautiful mission. They want to stop by when they are done.
Great! I'd love to finally visit Aussie's mom.
I then take a look at my home. It looks like a bomb went off in it. I managed to get dishes done last night but left everything else to do today.
FUUUUUUUUUCK!!!
I have to leave for my hair appointment and then go pick up Pudd'n from my mom's.
I luckily managed to get everything in order 5 minutes before they walked in the door. I've never cleaned so fast in my life!
We had a nice quick visit before they had to go back.
Now I just have to bake a carrot cake for tomorrow.

Drugs are good.

Thank you every one for your well wishes. I'm doing better now with the help of my little friends.
We got a new computer table and since I whacked out my neck; I could not help Steve move the old one out to the garage. He called his brother Homer to come over and help. Homer did another stint in rehab and so far has been sober. He looks like death warmed over. Steve is 2 years older than Homer, but because of Homer's hard drinking; Homer looks 10 years older than Steve.
The teacher I have the pleasure of working for is going out of town for a little over a week. Pudd'n and I get to go over and swim in the pool. The weather is going to be great, so I'm real excited. I know Pudd'n will be too when I pull up to her place.

APRIL IS AUTSIM AWARENESS MONTH.................

And now on to some bitch'n and moaning.
At 4 am this moring as I turned over in my sleep. I heard a distinctive "pop" and a shooting pain go down my neck and in to my shoulder.
Oh joy I just managed to pull my neck out of whack.
What really pisses me off?
I start going to the gym, I'm doing good and I see results. Then Pudd'n and I get hit with the flu and it knocks me out for 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to going back to the gym, get on the treadmill etc......
